OPI Glitter Off Base Coat Press Release

OPI Glitter Off Base CoatA couple of years ago, you may remember the trend among nailphiles that, to make it easier to remove glitter nail polish in a cinch, many were using PVA glue as a base coat. This meant that you could literally just peel it off, along with any stubborn glitter and forego the scrubbing-your-fingers-raw process.

Well, yesterday when I was on my way home from work, I received a bunch of cool press releases, which I’ll share with you all really soon!

The first one I’d love to tell you about is the OPI Glitter Off Base Coat, which is set to hit stores officially in March.

It promises to leave natural nails free of stains and also to make it easy to remove nail polish in just seconds without the need for a typical polish remover. You just peel the base coat and any polish on top off!

I’m really curious to try this one out, since you know that I have worn my fair share of glitter polishes. If I can avoid spending a long time to remove it, I’m all for it!

Edit: I updated this post to include step-by-step photos of how to use the OPI Glitter Off Base Coat!

Quo by Orly Star Formation Swatches & Review

Quo by Orly Star Formation Swatches & ReviewI don’t know about you, but whenever I stop by Shoppers Drug Mart for toothpaste or something else that’s not beauty-related, I tend to find myself naturally walking toward the cosmetic aisle.

The power of polish compels me! (Say it in the same tone as in The Exorcist.) 😉

Even if I have more nail polish than any sane person should, I still can’t help browsing the drugstore nail polishes.

Well, tucked away in a display near the ground, I found Quo by Orly Star Formation, which was so unique for a drugstore polish that I couldn’t leave without it. So, naturally, it jumped into my loving arms, and I ran to the cashier to pay.

And for the non-Canadians out there, just so you know, this is a dead-on dupe for Orly Intergalactic Space from the Orly Galaxy FX Collection for Spring 2014!

OPI I’m Brazil Nuts Over You Swatches & Review

OPI I'm Brazil Nuts Over You Swatches & ReviewYou already know that I’m nuts about nail polish. And now it’s nice to see a nail polish that’s nuts about me! 😉

It’s OPI I’m Brazil Nuts Over You, which is from the OPI Brazil Collection (Beach Sandies mini pack)!

OPI I’m Brazil Nuts Over You is a summer-worthy texture nail polish.

I was in a crummy mood, and it totally brightened my spirits. This is a fantastic colour that’s exactly in my comfort zone because it’s loud. 😉

P.S. I wore a yellow nail polish before this one, haha, and you can see it wanted to linger around my cuticles!

Rainbow Honey Papillon Swatches & Review

Rainbow Honey Papillon Swatches & ReviewI’m really excited to introduce Rainbow Honey Papillon to you!

It’s an unreleased colour, but don’t worry – I’m not a complete tease. 😉 It’ll be coming out officially in the upcoming Rainbow Honey Midnight Garden Spring Collection. That’s set to come out in the middle of March.

You may remember that I published a Quick Look post on a few Rainbow Honey nail polishes. This was one that I included in the mix.

Since it looked like it’d be a good layering polish, I decided to wear it over OPI Scores a Goal!, which is from the OPI Brazil Collection. (I loved the finished look!)

By the way, is it just me, or do you also think that Mariah Carey would go nuts over this polish? You know how she’s so into butterflies and her ’emancipation’? (Papillon is French for butterfly.)

OPI AmazON…AmazOFF Swatches & Review

OPI AmazON...AmazOFF Swatches & ReviewGuess what? Today is the very first day that the OPI Brazil Collection is officially released!

I knew that today, I was going to have to showcase my favourite shade from the entire collection. It was the one that first caught my eye when I saw all the pretty shades before me. It’s OPI AmazON…AmazOFF! (And it’s AmazING! Hahaha!) 😉

Judging from the reaction it got from my sneak peek on Instagram and Facebook, I could tell that I wasn’t alone in liking this shade so much.

Check out this post for my in-depth review and lots of swatches! Plus I answer your question about if it stains!

OPI Scores a Goal! Swatches & Review

OPI Scores a Goal Swatches & ReviewOPI Scores a Goal! may look like it’s from an autumn collection, but it’s actually from the OPI Brazil Collection for Spring/Summer 2014 that’s set to officially hit stores tomorrow. Are you excited?

Since PR was generous to provide me with the entire collection, stay tuned as I continue to review each one in-depth. (Or, if you just want a peek at all the colours, check out my Quick Look post on the OPI Brazil Collection!)

OPI Scores a Goal! is a shade that I didn’t think I would love as much as I do when I just saw the bottle.

On the nails, this murky mauve with a hint of purple looks very chic, and the creme finish is really shiny! In certain lighting, it can appear brown.

P.S. My cuticles are stained a little from a polish I had removed prior to wear this polish. It didn’t bother me since in person (i.e. not blown up like on the blog), I couldn’t really notice it. Plus having absolutely perfect nails is never one of my goals. Happiness is! 🙂
