Zoya Olivera Swatches & Review

Zoya Olivera Swatches Review

Zoya Olivera from the Enchanted Collection makes me think of a scene in The Wizard of Oz. Remember the part where you see the Wicked Witch of the West cackling at Dorothy Gale from the large glass globe? That scene!

Mesmerizing and shrouded in darkness, Zoya Olivera is a sexy polish that takes a walk on the wild side.

This inky wonder satisfies the craving for a vampy nail polish without resorting to a typical black lacquer. (Don’t get me wrong. I love jet-black nails, but a midnight green will always make me look twice!)

Key Notes

Zoya Olivera Review

Moody and inky, the indigo base has depth and can appear ever-so-slightly purple when looking at your nails at different angles.

An emerald green shimmer flashes across the manicure and offers a magical contrast. This characteristic conjures up images of potions I saw in movies and cartoons when I was a child. Like the collection Zoya Olivera comes from, this nail polish truly looks to be enchanted!

The base verges on being a crelly (creme jelly) because it’s very pigmented, but it doesn’t quite look flat like some cremes can. Then, the green dances on the nails with brilliant micro-shimmer! It’s quite beautiful when the light catches the shimmer!

Application & Formula

Zoya Olivera applies smoothly and has the top-notch formula that I have come to expect from the brand. It’s not too watery, but it’s not too thick. You can control the nail polish easily without accidentally flooding your cuticles.

It’s very pigmented, and I used two coats to achieve full coverage. You shouldn’t require more than that.

To be on the safe side, you may want to double-up on your base coat to prevent any staining. However, I didn’t experience any staining, even with a single layer of base coat protecting my nails. (I find that for pigmented polishes like this, the potential to stain can vary from person to person. I’m not sure if it’s because some people’s nails are more porous than others or not. Maybe drier nails soak up the pigment more? Something to think about!)

Zoya nails polishes have a 10-free formula because they don’t have Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Toluene, Camphor, TPHP, Parabens, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide, or Lead.

If you’re making conscious shopping decisions, you’ll be happy to know this!

  • Gorgeous indigo base with slight purple & vibrant green flash
  • Very pigmented (2 coats for full coverage)
  • Excellent formula
  • 10-free formula (No Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DBP, Toluene, Camphor, etc.)

  • If you don’t shop online, getting your hands on Zoya nail polishes can be quite tricky.

Final Verdict: 9.5/10

Zoya Olivera gets an A+ on its report card because it has everything that a nail-polish enthusiast could want: a smooth, pigmented formula and a vibrant flash of colour!

I highly recommend this and all the shades in the Zoya Enchanted Collection. It’s my favourite collection by the brand in a long time!

What’s your go-to nail polish when you want to wear something vampy? Do you have a favourite Zoya shade? Do you buy most of your nail polishes online or in-store?

Oh that’s a good comparison!! I would’ve never thought of Ursula, that’s great! The more I look at swatches of this polish, the more I want it. At first I wasn’t interested but Mary’s pictures made me drool! 🙂

      Hey LemonBerry Blog!

YES! Ursula was an amazing Disney villain. Haha! “Poor unfortunate souls…in pain…in need!” I still remember her singing that and how stereotypical the message was. Even so, I love The Little Mermaid. Need to watch it again soon. It was part of my childhood for sure!

The perfect vampy color for me is a dark blue or purple, so this one really hits the nail on the head. Just jaw-dropping and drool-worthy!!! Gorgeous swatches as always, I love that the green and purple shifts are visible on your nails.
