OPI The Sky’s My Limit Swatches & Review

OPI The Sky's My Limit Swatches & ReviewOPI The Sky’s My Limit is such a gorgeous shimmery teal from the Ford Mustang Collection, which I also did a Quick Look post on. It’ll hit stores in July.

In this photo, it looks more blue than it actually is in person. When you see it in the store, you’ll notice the green undertone, but the blue is still there.

I tried to capture it accurately with my camera, but it was quite the feat. In fact, in this post, you’ll see tons of swatches in all differing lighting conditions: natural light, dim natural light, sunlight, and flash!

None of them truly convey the beauty of this polish, but if you wanted an idea of which is the closest to what it looks like in real life, I would say refer to the dim natural-light photos. (You need to see it in person, though – it’s way more drool-worthy than my photos suggest!)

This is my kind of shade because it’s so bold and flattering on many different skin tones.

OPI My Signature Is “DC” Swatches & Review

OPI My Signature Is DC Swatches & ReviewI’ve been excited to share OPI My Signature Is “DC” with you because it’s the oh-so-flashy silver from the Coca-Cola Collection, which I did a Quick Look post on.

If you want something blingy, and you’re not the type to wear jewellery, OPI My Signature Is “DC” is a great option.

The only major concern with this nail polish is that it isn’t forgiving if you have a less-than-perfect nail surface.

Most people don’t have naturally smooth nails. Don’t fret if you have ridges. I have them, too, but it doesn’t bother me. I am human…except when I’m an alien on the weekend. 😉

OPI Neon Collection Swatches & Review

OPI Neon Collection SwatchesAs you may know, I’ve done separate in-depth reviews with tons of swatches of all 6 shades in the OPI Neon Collection, so I thought it would be a good idea to do a little ’round up’ post.

(If you’re interested in seeing the official press release or my Quick Look post on the collection, click on the respective links.)

I put together a collage of the OPI Neon Collection swatches, so you can see the colours together in natural light. (None have a white base. I wanted you to see what the polish was like by itself.)

If you’d like to see each individual review of a particular colour, click on the links or photos in this post.

Although bright, none of these are actually retina-burning like other neon nail polishes that I have worn. That being said, I’m still really happy with the colour selection and the fact that OPI has finally released their first full-size neons. It gives me hope for where they’ll go from here.

Also worth noting is that, like any neon, to get the most impact, you need to wear a shiny top coat. I don’t recommend wearing any of these solo because they tend to have a matte or satin finish that doesn’t look as lively as when you layer it with a shiny top coat.

OPI Down to the Core-al Swatches & Review

OPI Down to the Core-al Swatches & ReviewIt’s funny that although OPI Down to the Core-al from the Neon Collection was the first shade I wore, it’s the final one that I’m reviewing on here. (You got a sneak peek of it in my Quick Look post.)

The reason? I wore it twice. 🙂 The first time, all the mornings before I headed off to work were gloomy and dismal. I just couldn’t get decent natural-light photos. And by the time I get home in the evening, I’m either busy or the sun has already set.

But the second time I wore OPI Down to the Core-al, Mother Nature decided to cooperate. (Perhaps she’s also a fan of it?) 😉

Although I love a lot of the colours in the collection, I was really excited about this one because around the summer, I tend to bust out coral nail polishes more often. Something about it just makes me think of the warm weather. (It’s like Lana Del Rey’s new album, Ultraviolence, which I love. There’s just something about the sound of the songs that makes me think of the summer.)

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Sorbet Review & Pictures

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Sorbet ReviewOkay, so I’m in the minority here, but I don’t regularly moisturize my body when I get out of the shower or before I go to sleep.

Sure, I’m willing to put in a lot of effort into my makeup and nails, but slap on a body moisturizer? Oh no! Haha! (Yeah, I never said that I was rational all the time.)

The main reason why is because a lot of lotions feel greasy or heavy. I just really dislike feeling like I have a sticky film on my skin, especially if I’m going to bed or if I just took a shower and want to feel clean.

However, I recently tried The Body Shop Satsuma Body Sorbet, which came out in May, because it claims to hydrate without leaving behind that sticky feeling. In fact, it was specially designed to be used in the summer when it’s hot.

So, what did I do? Yes, I put it to the test! Here are my results!

OPI You Are So Outta Lime! Swatches & Review

OPI You Are So Outta Lime Swatches & ReviewGreen is a colour that I’m always itching to wear, and OPI You Are So Outta Lime! from the Neon Collection was calling my name (but not like a mother telling you to make your bed)! 😉

This lime green is not for those who shy away from loud colours or who stay close to traditional fare.

OPI You Are So Outta Lime! is just the right punch of colour that says, “Hells yeah – I’ve arrived!”

Hehe, yeah, so apparently it’s a bit into itself. Can you blame it? (I can never blame a good green! Biased? A bit! Honest? Fo’ sho’!)

OPI Push & Pur-Pull Swatches & Review

OPI Push & Pur-Pull Swatches & ReviewToday, I have for you an in-depth review of OPI Push & Pur-Pull, which is from the Neon Collection that I did a Quick Look post on earlier.

Please note that in real life, the polish has a touch more pink undertones than what the bottle pictures might suggest. (I wasn’t able to get spot-on colour accuracy with my camera, and I keep it simple and don’t do colour correction with editing software.)

In the bottle, it looks like an ordinary purple, but I was so happy to see that on the nails, it has a jelly-ish finish for that ‘squishy’ look that’s so cool!

You must wear a top coat to really bring out the outstanding beauty and the jelly-ish finish.

You know, whenever I see purples added to a neon collection, I tend to get very hopeful. But, in actuality, I don’t think there’s such a thing as a true deep neon purple.

OPI Push & Pur-Pull is very pretty, but I definitely don’t consider it to be a retina-burning neon. (Same deal with ‘neon’ blues. They’re often not as bright as their pink, coral, green, and yellow counterparts.)
