The Body Shop Colour Crush Got the Blues, Oh, Petal & Mint Cream Swatches & Mini Review

The Body Shop Colour Crush Collection Got the Blues, Oh Petal & Mint Cream SwatchesIf you followed me on Instagram or other social media, you saw a photo I posted recently of the epic nail mail with 18 nail polishes that I received from the generous folks at The Body Shop.

In October, they’re coming out with 24 rainbow shades in the new The Body Shop Colour Crush Nails Collection!

These nail polishes are promoted as being vegan, not tested on animals, enriched with silky Community Fair Trade marula oil, having a high-gloss finish, and featuring a quick-drying formula.

Additionally, they have a ‘4-free’ formula, meaning that they don’t contain Dibutyl Phthalate, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, and Camphor.

I was debating on which colour to wear first, and since I couldn’t decide, I ended up wearing 3 at once, which had a candy, Easter-esque feel:

  • The Body Shop Got the Blues (periwinkle/purple)
  • The Body Shop Oh, Petal (pink)
  • The Body Shop Mint Cream (green)

Since this post contains photos of all 3 in one manicure, I’ll show you swatches and photos of the bottles, but there’ll be a mini review of my first impression of the formula.

When I wear another manicure with just one shade, then I’ll do an in-depth review.

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Sorbet Review & Pictures

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Sorbet ReviewOkay, so I’m in the minority here, but I don’t regularly moisturize my body when I get out of the shower or before I go to sleep.

Sure, I’m willing to put in a lot of effort into my makeup and nails, but slap on a body moisturizer? Oh no! Haha! (Yeah, I never said that I was rational all the time.)

The main reason why is because a lot of lotions feel greasy or heavy. I just really dislike feeling like I have a sticky film on my skin, especially if I’m going to bed or if I just took a shower and want to feel clean.

However, I recently tried The Body Shop Satsuma Body Sorbet, which came out in May, because it claims to hydrate without leaving behind that sticky feeling. In fact, it was specially designed to be used in the summer when it’s hot.

So, what did I do? Yes, I put it to the test! Here are my results!

The Body Shop Mango Hand Cleanse Gel Review & Pictures

The Body Shop Mango Hand Cleanse Gel Review & PicturesA long time ago, a friend bought me The Body Shop Mango Hand Cleanse Gel, and it’s fine time that I reviewed it!

This is actually the first product from The Body Shop that I’ve tried since the 8th grade, and I’m not sure why because they’re always having tempting deals on great products.

I usually carry a bottle of hand sanitizer in my purse. You never know when you’ll need it. Although I don’t slather it on all the time, sometimes when I take public transportation, I find that it comes in handy. And I like to keep a bottle of hand sanitizer on my desk at work because after using the public washroom, I feel better knowing that I’m killing more germs. (At home, though, I don’t bother with this since I easily wash my hands.)

The Body Shop Honey & Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask Review & Pictures

Well, The Body Shop Honey & Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask is a far cry from fun nail polishes, isn’t it?

I’ve been looking for a good moisturizing and cleansing mask for a while now. Something that I could use as a weekly treatment to wipe away any skin sins accumulated throughout the week.

The Body Shop had one of their Buy 2 Get 1 Free sales, so I thought I’d give one of their masks a try. I’m not jumping-with-joy over this product, but I do like it. It does a pretty good job, just not perfect. I’m sure there are better masks out there. Plus, you could probably make a homemade mask that does a comparable job. Continue reading

The Body Shop Mango Body Scrub Review & Pictures

The other day, I bumped into a “friend” from the past. Awkward. We exchanged pleasantries, said we’d Facebook keep in touch, and ended it with a hug. The odd thing is that the only thought that ran across my head was, “Boy, I’m glad I don’t stink.” (Not that that’s a usual concern for me…I think).

I didn’t have perfume on that day, but I was wearing The Body Shop Mango Body Butter. I love the fragrance that it gives off – it’s fresh and fruity without being overpowering. I usually don’t like sweet scents, but there’s something so refreshing about this that I absolutely love. So when The Body Shop had a sale, I naturally picked up the matching body scrub.

Overall, I like The Body Shop Mango Body Scrub. It’s especially good for layering underneath the body butter. But I’m not as head over heels as I am with the body butter. Continue reading

The Body Shop Born Lippy Satsuma Shimmer Lip Balm Review & Pictures

Shopping is my chosen form of therapy. And every few months, the Object of My Obsession changes. Cookbooks, watches, shoes, jewelry – whatever I’m obsessed with at the moment, I want to buy, buy, buy. My wallet and I are currently on the outs because of it.

My most-recent OoMO is lip products. Big surprise for me, seeing as previously the only thing I put on my lips is Chapstick. Now I need my lip balm or gloss, ‘cuz my lip gloss be cool; my lip gloss be poppin’! (So ashamed I know that song.)

Today, I’ll be reviewing The Body Shop Born Lippy Satsuma Shimmer Lip Balm. I previously reviewed the Pink Guava one, and surprisingly, it’s more than just the scent that’s different. Continue reading
