Slatkin & Co. Salty Caramel Candle Review & Pictures

Slatkin & Co. Salty Caramel CandleSome candles smell good enough to eat! The Slatkin & Co. Salty Caramel Candle definitely falls into that category. It smells exactly like caramel popcorn that you’d get at a carnival.

If you have a sweet tooth and a nose for all things sugary, you’re going to swoon over this scented candle from Bath & Body Works! It’s over-the-top sweet, but it doesn’t give me a headache (surprisingly).

Too bad this blog doesn’t have a scratch-and-sniff feature because this is a candle you have to smell to believe!

Slatkin & Co. Cotton Candy Candle Review & Pictures

Slatkin & Co. Cotton Candy Candle ReviewFirst thing’s first – Happy St. Patrick’s Day! (Drink responsibly…that is, if you’re old enough to drink, of course.)

Now onto the review! No, not of booze. Cotton candy! Well, a candle.

I’m a sucker for anything that claims to have a cotton-candy scent. It’s probably because it reminds me of my incredible father (who passed away last year).

Whenever we went to the summer carnivals, he’d always buy me cotton candy…even if I wasn’t a kid anymore.

My fingers would get all sticky. My teeth would need a thorough brushing. And cotton candy was my edible happiness.

When I saw the new Slatkin & Co. Cotton Candy Candle from Bath & Body Works in its cute pink packaging, not only did I have to buy it, but I had to buy a back-up, too.

Did I regret that decision? Does it smell like sweet summer sugar? Continue reading

Slatkin & Co. Lilac Blossom Candle Review & Pictures

Bath & Body Works Lilac Blossom CandleLilacs are my favorite flowers – it’s a shame how their blooms don’t last long in the spring. And although there are lots of scents on the market that claim to be lilac-scented, I find that they always smell artificial and nauseating.

When I was a kid, my family and I planted a lilac tree in the backyard, which my bedroom overlooked. Throughout the years, the young tree matured and provided us with full and very fragrant lilac blossoms. The scent would waft up to my room, and it was pure heaven!

One year, we snipped off tons of lilac bunches and placed them all over the house. Although my mom got a headache from the floral overload, I just couldn’t get enough! And my cat at the time, Tiger, even was spotted taking the time to sniff the lilacs on occasion!

So when I found out about the Slatkin & Co. Lilac Blossom Candle sold at Bath & Body Works, I had to buy it and see if, for once, this was a genuine lilac fragrance.

Is it a lilac-lover’s dream? Does it smell fake and contrived? Let me tell you what I think! Continue reading

Bath & Body Works Berry Vanilla Fragrance Mist Review & Pictures

Bath & Body Works Berry Vanilla Fragrance MistThe Bath & Body Works Berry Vanilla Fragrance Mist was the first Bath & Body Works product I ever bought.

A couple of my co-workers were raving about this scent so often, it was beginning to sound like a drug addiction. And I gave into peer pressure. So I ran around the back of the office building away from onlookers and sprayed myself with this.

Funny thing. Despite me having a strong aversion to the Berry Vanilla scent from the Summer Vanillas Collection, I still managed to get hooked onto Bath & Body Works in general. What can I say? I believe in second chances.

How good a scent smells is totally subjective as you know, so even though I really dislike it, you may be over the moon for it.

Think the Bath And Body Works Berry Vanilla body splash is for you? Let me describe it, and you be the judge. Continue reading

If you’re someone who doesn’t like flirty floral fragrances or cotton-candy sweet smells, then you might quite enjoy Bath & Body Works Rainkissed Leaves Body Lotion. It has a refreshing natural scent that is very noticeable without being overpowering. I simply love it! I love it so much that I have “several” bottles.

I’ve been putting off reviewing Bath & Body Works Rainkissed Leaves Body Lotion for quite some time now. Even though I really love this scent, I just didn’t want to reveal my beautiful dark twisted secret. But I’m ready to bare all, so come take a look at why I love this product! Continue reading

Bath & Body Works Cucumber Melon HandiBac Anti-Bacterial Hand Foam Review & Pictures

I’m not a germaphobe! There. I got that out of my system. I do not, however, like the idea of getting sick from germs and viruses – even if it’s just the common cold. That’s why I always carry around some sort of anti-bacterial product with me.

I’m actually using several anti-bacs right now – one for work, one at home and one in my purse. OK, so maybe I am starting to sound like a germaphobe… but these products are so convenient, and most of them smell great (aside from Purell). Since the flu’s alive and kickin’, I thought I’d review the one I currently use at work: Bath & Body Works Cucumber Melon HandiBac Anti-Bacterial Hand Foam. Continue reading

Slatkin & Co. Homemade Cookies Candle Review & Pictures

Slatkin & Co. Homemade Cookies Candle A couple of weekends ago, Fiona and I made some delicious chocolate-chip cookies from scratch.

Being a total Swatch And Learn devotee, it reminded me to do a Slatkin & Co. Homemade Cookies Candle review.

If the thought of sugary-sweet scents alone is enough to give you a headache, this isn’t for you.

But for people out there, like me, who swoon over bakery fragrances, you’re in for a treat. And you won’t have to get any mixing bowls dirty, either! Continue reading
