Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm Lemon & Chamomile Review & Pictures

Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm Lemon & Chamomile SPF 25 Review & PicturesFor those of you who follow Swatch And Learn, you’ll know that I’m a huge fan of the Jack Black lip balms not only because they have SPF 25, but mainly because they work miracles.

Even if your lips are incredibly chapped and sore, the Jack Black lip balms heal them and make them feel supple and healthy again.

I’ve previously reviewed the Jack Black Natural Mint Intense Therapy Lip Balm as well as went into great detail about how well it works.

For this post, instead of rehashing it all again in terms of efficacy (they work exactly the same), packaging, and animal-friendliness, I’m just going to tell you about the scent of the Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm Lemon & Chamomile SPF 25!

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion Review & Pictures

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion Review & PicturesIf you want to banish dry skin like a medieval outcast, retire your suit of armour, and arm yourself with a bottle of Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion! (The lotion is mightier than the sword.)

Its packaging may look plain and boring, but it’s what’s inside that counts, remember? 😉

I’ve depended on this Aveeno hand and body moisturizer for a few years now. Every time that I’ve ever strayed, I always go back to this.

It works. And I like how it doesn’t have any frills or frou-frou fragrance that competes with the perfume I’m wearing.

This Aveeno lotion is a workhorse – does the job…even when it has work cut out for it! And dry skin doesn’t stand a fighting chance – it retreats to the valley. (Where’s the valley? I don’t know. But let’s just pretend it makes sense.)

Come see why this is a winter must-have for me! Continue reading

Katy Perry Purr Shower Gel Review & Pictures

Katy Perry Purr Shower Gel Review & PicturesYou may remember that earlier this year, I received the Katy Perry Purr Bath Collection Gift Set as a belated birthday present.

Back then, I reviewed the perfume, but now it’s time for me to tell you about the Katy Perry Purr Shower Gel.

As far as I know, you can only get the shower gel as part of the gift set. So, since receiving it, I’ve been rationing it.

Whenever I wear the Katy Perry Purr perfume, I use this in the shower so that I can layer the fragrance.

So what do I think of the Purr by Katy Perry shower gel? Does it smell like the perfume? Does it leave behind a film on your skin?

The answers are just a click away! Continue reading

eos Holiday Lip Balm Collection Review & Pictures (Strawberry Sorbet, Sweet Mint & Passion Fruit)

Guess what? Evolution of Smooth has come out with something new for winter – the eos Holiday Lip Balm Collection!

eos Holiday Lip Balm Collection Review & Pictures eos Strawberry Sorbet Review, eos Sweet Mint review, eos Passion Fruit review

It includes 3 full-size, organic eos lip balms in the following flavours: Strawberry Sorbet, Sweet Mint, and Passion Fruit.

The purple one (Passion Fruit) is a new and limited-edition flavour.

This is a cute little set that would be perfect for splitting with your friends or for a little stocking stuffer. Yup, Christmas will be here before you know it!

When I see all 3 lip balms neatly lined up in this package, it reminds me of either a set of golf balls or Easter eggs! Either way, it looks simply adorable!

Now, you’ll remember that not long ago, I reviewed the eos Honeysuckle Honeydew Lip Balm on here. I went into great detail about the packaging, the moisturizing effects of the lip balm, etc. Please refer to that if you want an in-depth review about those factors.

In this review, I’m focusing solely on describing the individual flavours since the other elements (i.e. packaging, moisturizing effectiveness) are the same as the Honeysuckle Honeydew one.

eos Honeysuckle Honeydew Lip Balm Review & Pictures

eos Honeysuckle Honeydew Lip Balm Review & PicturesI’ve been curious about the eos lip balms (also called Evolution of Smooth lip balms) for a long time because, well, the packaging is such a fun novelty, and they come in lots of different flavours.

It’s also cool how they’re 100% natural and 95% organic. According to the package, they’ve been certified organic by Oregon Tilth.

Other cool things about this egg-shaped Evolution of Smooth lip balm? It’s not tested on animals and it’s gluten-free.

It’s supposed to keep your lips soft, smooth, and moist. Well, I waited to try out this product a few times when my lips felt dry.

Did it pass with flying colours, or did it fail to impress because of performance anxiety? There’s only one way to find out – let’s get cracking!

Clean & Clear Oil-Absorbing Sheets Review & Pictures

Clean & Clear Oil-Absorbing Sheets Review & PicturesBlotting paper was such a great invention. Without disturbing your makeup, you can easily remove any excess oil on your face in just a few seconds without having to apply additional makeup like powder.

I usually have a packet of blotting papers in my purse. It has saved me through most of the summer on those humid days where no matter what you did during makeup application, you still got shiny by midday.

I’ve tried several different brands, but I really like the Clean & Clear Oil-Absorbing Sheets because each piece is smooth and silky – it doesn’t feel like you’re using wax paper like with another brand I’ve tried.

These Clean & Clear blotting sheets are an essential for me. Continue reading

Bath & Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Shower Gel Review & Pictures

Bath & Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Shower Gel Review & PicturesSome people are obsessed with meat (like Michael Symon, the Iron Chef with a “Got Pork?” tattoo). Other people are obsessed with murder-mystery fiction. And then there are some people like me who love pumpkins.

They come in all different sizes. Some are squat and rotund. Some are tiny and adorable. They all get my seal of approval.

I just love how you can bring them to life for Hallowe’en by carving spooky faces and designs. I enjoy toasting their seeds with salt for a healthy snack and eating multiple slices of pumpkin pie! And when I was little, my dad used to call me Pumpkin.

All signs point to awesome.

So when I heard about the Bath & Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Shower Gel, obviously I couldn’t contain my excitement. (I’m almost sure that I squealed aloud.)

I got the travel-sized bottle and wanted to rush to take a shower even though it was only the early afternoon!

So is this fall in a shower gel? Or did it leave something to be desired? There’s only one way to find out!
