China Glaze Point Me to the Party Swatches & Review! (Layered Over KBShimmer Sarong Place, Sarong Time)

China Glaze Point Me to the Party Swatches & ReviewLike an explosion of neon fireworks, China Glaze Point Me to the Party from the Electric Nights Collection is a must-have nail polish, as far as I’m concerned!

For a big mainstream company, I was pleasantly surprised to see it channeling a look that is more reminiscent of indie nail polishes. (Since I don’t have too many indies in my collection, this got me very excited!)

Neons are some of my favourite lacquers to wear any season because they are an instant pick-me-up. Now, with China Glaze Point Me to the Party, you could layer a neon base with a multicoloured neon glitter topper!

For this manicure, I layered China Glaze Point Me to the Party over my existing manicure, which was KBShimmer Sarong Place, Sarong Time (from the Summer 2015 Collection), which I reviewed in-depth yesterday.

KBShimmer Sarong Place, Sarong Time Swatches & Review

KBShimmer Sarong Place Sarong Time Swatches & ReviewKBShimmer Sarong Place, Sarong Time from the Summer 2015 Collection that launched on Friday is a vibrant purple that reminds me of flowers.

(On Sunday, I wore this when I went to Edwards Gardens. If you’re interested, check out my social media because I posted a photo of this manicure, but also the beautiful blossoms!)

KBShimmer Sarong Place, Sarong Time is the second KBShimmer nail polish that I’ve ever worn, and looks like they’ve struck gold a second time in a row!

(Also, I’ve been trying out the KBShimmer Clearly on Top Quick Dry Top Coat. I must say that I’ve had a great experience with it so far. Absolutely no shrinkage, but I’ll need to try it over other brands of polishes to see if it works across the board.)

OPI Brights 2015 Collection Swatches & Bottle Shots

OPI Brights 2015 Collection SwatchesThe OPI Brights 2015 Collection is already out, and I’m sure that many nailphiles have already snatched up several bottles.

But, just in case you are still debating whether or not to plunk down your hard-earned cash, I’ve put together this quick little post to show you OPI Brights 2015 Collection swatches plus bottle shots.

As I mentioned in the OPI Brights 2015 Collection press release I posted here earlier, it consists of six new shades and three re-promotes (Hotter Than You Pink, Down to the Core-al, and Life Gave Me Lemons – Click the links to see my separate in-depth reviews on the 2014 versions of those shades).

Of the new colours, I’m drooling over the rich look of My Car Has Navy-gation, and I’m curious to see what On Pinks & Needles looks like layered over a base colour.

KBShimmer Precious Petals Swatches & Review (Layered Over OPI You’re Such a BudaPest)

KBShimmer Precious Petals Swatches & ReviewHappy Saturday – Hope that you’re having a great weekend (and a relaxing long weekend, for my fellow Canadians)!

After wearing OPI You’re Such a BudaPest, I knew just the glitter topper that would add the icing to the nail cake. 😉

If you’re a fan of indie nail polish, you probably already know that the KBShimmer Summer 2015 Collection launched yesterday.

One of the nail polishes is KBShimmer Precious Petals, and I was itching to wear it over my existing manicure.

I’m so thrilled with the result because it added the playful touch that I was looking for!

China Glaze Electric Nights Skittle Manicure & Mini Review of 3 Shades

China Glaze Electric Nights Nail ArtWhen I purchased the China Glaze Electric Nights Collection Mini Set about two months ago, I knew that I’d have to wear a manicure featuring more than one shade.

(Sometimes being indecisive about what to wear can lead to a fun nail look!)

This China Glaze Electric Nights Skittle Manicure was the result. (You got a sneak peek of it about three weeks ago on social media.)

Many times when I looked at my nails, I kept thinking, “Nails Just Wanna Have Fun,” sung to the melody of Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! 😉

Today, I show you tons of manicure photos (including bottle shots), and I share mini reviews on each of the colours: Daisy Know My Name? (yellow), DJ Blue My Mind (blue), and Treble Maker (green).

This collection has already been out for some time. (The mini set that I have is trickier to find now, but you should be able to locate the full-size bottles easily.)

P.S. If you like these colours, you’ll want to keep your eagle eye on Swatch And Learn because I’m going to have a fun worldwide giveaway coming up really soon! *Hint hint*

Essie Groove is in the Heart Swatches & Review

Essie Groove is in the Heart Swatches & ReviewLast week, I wore Essie Groove is in the Heart, which is part of the upcoming Neon 2015 Collection that comes out at the end of May.

No, it’s not the brightest neon pink that I’ve ever worn, but it sure is cute!

When my co-worker saw my manicure, she mentioned how it reminded her of strawberry milk, which I think is a spot-on description.

Pink nail polish isn’t my favourite, but from time to time, I enjoy it because it’s different than my usual greens.
