Zoya Zuza Swatches & Review

Zoya Zuza Swatches & ReviewZoya Zuza from the Beach & Surf Summer Collection was one of the first colours I immediately took note of.

Aside from true greens, this is what I consider to be my ‘comfort polish’.

This aquamarine is pretty in the bottle, but it’s equally beautiful on the nail, too! No trickery here!

If you like turquoise nail polish, I highly recommend you get this.

It has a terrific formula, a colour that I think is flattering on the majority of skin tones, and the finish is great for concealing ridges and nail imperfections.

Essie Camera Swatches & Review

Essie Camera Swatches & ReviewIf you follow me on Twitter, you may have read my tweet a while ago gushing over the Essie Poppy-Razzi Collection. Anytime I hear about neon polishes being released, I get as excited as a carbonated beverage that’s been shaken vigorously.

Haha, I think that Essie Camera was competing with my camera (well, and my eyes, too), because while it looks coral in the bottle, it became tangerine on my nails!

While this caught me off-guard, thankfully I still ended up liking this colour a lot. (I don’t have too many bright oranges, so it was really fun to wear, especially on sunny days.)

Allow me to tell you more about this quirky lacquer!

SpaRitual Earth Matters Swatches & Review

SpaRitual Earth Matters Swatches & ReviewAhhh, yes! I’m back to wearing a colour that’s totally in my comfort zone. My how I’ve missed you, Green! It’s ludicrous how I went so long without sporting my favourite colour.

Now all is right with the world. 😉 *Content sigh*

SpaRitual Earth Matters is from the 2011 Earth Day Duo that I had to buy from the minute I laid eyes on it.

This glitter polish is a winner in my book, and if you stumble across it, I strongly recommend you purchase it. Earth Matters has made it in my Top 10 Green Nail Polish List…and considering that I have tons of greens, that’s saying something!

Nail Art: Pink & Black Zebra Nails Using Konad Image Plate m57

Pink & Black Zebra Nail Art Nail SwatchesYesterday, I shared my thoughts with you on OPI I’m All Ears from the Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection. Although it was like, it wasn’t love.

So, what did I do? I Konaded the *beep* out of it. 😉 Here are Pink & Black Zebra Nails!

I turned to my tried-and-true full-nail Konad image plate m57. The zebra print never lets me down. Even when I’ve used it over a polish I didn’t care for, it turns it into a winning manicure for me that I enjoy wearing.

Haha, maybe it’s a cop-out because I’m sure you all have seen this zebra print a bazillion times. It’s nothing revolutionary now. But, it just goes to show you what a must-have the Konad m57 image plate is! 🙂 If you don’t already have it, get it!

OPI I’m All Ears Swatches & Review

OPI I'm All Ears Swatches & ReviewInstead of reaching for self-help books, maybe Dumbo should wear nail polish (and in particular, OPI I’m All Ears) to feel better about himself!

Perhaps he’d hit it off with Minnie Mouse, even though there are lots of tall tales about elephants being scared of mice. 😉

And will you take my temperature? I have never worn so many pink polishes in such a short period of time!

It’s actually making me miss my greens, and I never miss them because they’re usually my staple.

OPI Nothin’ Mousie ‘Bout It Swatches & Review (Layered Over China Glaze Liquid Leather)

OPI Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It Swatches & ReviewSince I first laid eyes on the OPI Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection, OPI Nothin’ Mousie ‘Bout It got my attention.

Polishes that have large sequins look so pretty, and even though I always admire them when I see them in stores, I’ve oddly never bought any.

OPI Nothin’ Mousie ‘Bout It is my first go at one! 😀

As usual, the promo pictures in the press release I posted don’t do the actual polish much justice.

In person, it’s spectacular! I was really surprised that what I thought was going to be a micro-glitter polish actually was a small-flakie polish! I could stare at the bottle all day long because it’s so pretty! And I love how the large heart sequins float in the lacquer…however, they posed quite a challenge.

OPI Louvre Me Louvre Me Not Swatches & Review

OPI Louvre Me Louvre Me Not Swatches & ReviewOPI Louvre Me Louvre Me Not may not be the most original colour or one that you’d pick out in a line-up, but it holds so much strong significance to me that I’ll always cherish it.

In high school, I had 14-17 bottles of nail polish, which was a major deal to me. It was more than any of my other friends had, and it took a few years to get to that point.

Then, in university, I hardly wore polish. It was a few years after I graduated and was working when I went to buy some shampoo from Trade Secrets. An OPI mini set caught my eye. It was from La Collection de France back in 2008.

That’s the point when I rekindled my love for polish. It was more dangerous this time around because I had a full-time job, and I didn’t have to set aside any money for tuition or school-related expenses. Polish money! 😉

OPI Louvre Me Louvre Me Not was the first lacquer I ever tried outside drugstore polishes. It opened up a whole new world, and that’s when I began collecting purples like a fiend before lusting over greens.
