The theme is Breast Cancer Awareness, so the set includes this and OPI More than a Glimmer (a glitter) plus nail decals that you can use to create a customized manicure.

In this post, I’ll share with you my thoughts and photos of OPI Pink-ing of You and a few photos of the set.

Orly Mayhem Mentality Swatches & Review

Orly Mayhem Mentality Swatches & ReviewAs a nailphile, you can never have too many neon nail polishes!

The latest one I added to my collection is Orly Mayhem Mentality, which is from the Orly Mash Up Collection for Summer 2013.

(You may have caught a glimpse of this on my Instagram, when I shared a sneak peek of it.)

I don’t have too many neon oranges, but this is one of the top picks because the formula is wonderful!

Although my photos make it look like a pastel neon, it’s actually a very bold neon orange, and if you see it in person, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. It was tricky to photograph it accurately.

Shimmer Leslie Swatches & Review (Layered Over a-england Rose Bower)

Shimmer Leslie Swatches & ReviewRed and blue are a Superman colour combination that I really like because of how bold it is.

I tend to pair these colours together with clothing. I have a vivid-red t-shirt that’s very comfortable, and whenever I wear that, I like to sport blue nail polish and blue eyeliner.

So when I was wearing a-england Rose Bower, I couldn’t help but apply a coat of Shimmer Leslie on top!

This is a glitter that’s really fun to wear and that you can easily pair with so many different base colours. It’s easy to create a contrasting manicure or to layer it over a similar-blue base for a more-opaque look. Continue reading

OPI DS Lapis Swatches & Review

OPI DS Lapis Swatches & ReviewEver since I first laid eyes on OPI DS Lapis, one of the newest shades to be added to the OPI Designer Series line, I knew I had to wear it ASAP.

In fact, just after a few hours of receiving the generous package from OPI’s PR team, I was painting my nails with it!

In the official press release and promo pictures, I had an inkling that it would resemble a starry night sky. My suspicions were confirmed – it does have that effect! (You may remember seeing the Quick Look post I did not long ago, which gave you a first glimpse into how luxe this polish is!)

As part of OPI DS Raw Granite, this continues with the textured-nail trend we’ve been seeing a lot of lately. But, for those who aren’t as big of a fan of it as I am, don’t write this baby off so quickly! Why? Read my review to see how this textured polish isn’t like the average ones on the market.

Nicole by OPI My Cherry Amour Swatches & Review

Nicole by OPI My Cherry Amour Swatches & ReviewNicole by OPI My Cherry Amour from the Gumdrops Collection is one of those shades that really took me off-guard.

In the bottle, it was pretty, but once I painted my nails, I gasped – it’s so flattering and bold!

Although Nicole by OPI calls this My Cherry Amour, it reminds me more of raspberries than cherries because the red has a definite pinkish undertone.

This is a colour that I know I’ll be sporting again. It really pops in real life!

Quick Look: OPI DS Raw Granite (OPI DS Lapis & OPI DS Pewter)

OPI DS Raw Granite OPI DS Lapis OPI DS PewterYesterday, I received a package in the mail that OPI’s PR team sent me. One of the things included was OPI DS Raw Granite, which contained 2 new OPI Designer Series nail polishes: OPI DS Lapis (blue) and OPI DS Pewter (grey). (They will be in stores this September.)

Usually, I post in-depth reviews and swatches after I’ve worn the nail polishes as actual manicures.

(Edit: Click here to see my in-depth review and swatches of OPI DS Lapis and OPI DS Pewter!)

But since I wanted to share a sneak peek with you, I decided to introduce a new feature on the blog called Quick Look! It’ll allow me to show you the latest products even faster.

Think of them as a snapshot of what’s to come – a little teaser, if you will. I’ll show some photos, but with little or no commentary. Hopefully, it’ll whet your appetite for the in-depth review and multiple swatches that will be coming in a future blog post.
