NARS Orgasm – it’s a popular color that has spawned an entire collection by the brand. But why is it so popular anyway? To me, it’s glowing happiness…captured in a color that instantly adds a pick-me-up to the complexion. And who wouldn’t want that?

It’s not just Orgasm. It’s NARS The Multiple Orgasm. With a name like that, this multi-purpose stick has many expectations to live up to. Does it? Continue reading

Even though I love checking out the e.l.f. site for sales and new colors, I’m always a little apprehensive in trying their products. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: their stuff is kind of hit and miss.

But they had a 50% off sale on their mineral eyeshadows, so I felt like I had to stock up. e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Socialite is one of the many colors I got, and it’s one of the best! Please don’t think of a certain hotel heiress when you see the name of this color. It’s the farthest thing from her! There’s depth and star power to this color. Continue reading

** This post was written by Fiona. She no longer blogs for Swatch And Learn. However, Mary still continues to blog and will be happy to reply to your comment. **

Even though I don’t have any allergies (none that I know of anyway), I still like to pay close attention to the ingredients in my makeup. It really scares me when the ingredient list is so long that it’s like I’m reading a novella.

That’s why Everyday Minerals wins major points in my books. Not only that, their blushes are very pigmented, so I couldn’t wait to try their eye shadows! Especially since I got the Everyday Minerals Smokey Pink Eyeshadow Rollerball. I thought that feature is fun and conveniently, but I wasn’t expecting it to work too well. Continue reading

NYX Eyeshadow Trio Perpetual Swatches & Review

NYX Eyes Shadow Trio PerpetualCan’t believe it’s already December – the holidays are just around the corner!

So I decided to get festive. I looked through my makeup stash to find and review Christmasy colors.

This NYX Eyeshadow Trio (Perpetual) fit the bill nicely. Not only is there a red and green, but you also get a taupe to balance off your look and add depth in your crease or outer v.

The bright red in the palette intimidated me, but I’m determined to use it more often in eye looks because it’s really pretty and it’s not every day that you see a bold red eyeshadow in drugstore makeup. Continue reading
