I think you can tell by now that I love Slatkin & Co. candles! 😉 And I’m pretty big on food fragrances. The more realistic the scent, the more I burn it.

Quite some time ago, I purchased the Slatkin & Co. Gingerbread Candle from Bath & Body Works during one of their awesome sales. (Their candles always go on sale, so I can never justify ever paying the retail price.)

Some people may have been disappointed with this because it’s not strong like fresh gingerbread, but I absolutely love it! It smells more like a ginger cookie to me, so it gets the thumbs up from me.

I’m not a fan of cranberry in general except when it’s in a tart sauce on top of turkey. So imagine my surprise when I randomly picked up this candle several times in the store and liked how it smelled!

(Yes, I’m that person who walks into Bath & Body Works and literally pops open 15 candles and sniffs the wax.)

Then Bath & Body Works had an online sale, so I felt compelled to finally purchase the Slatkin & Co. Frosted Cranberry Candle!

I’m always a sucker for trying out new candles that are based on yummy hot beverages.

The Slatkin & Co. Hot Buttered Rum Candle was a must-try for me, especially since the salesperson at the store kept talking about it. I felt like I was beginning to drool!

Lots of people enjoy hot buttered rum especially during the holiday season, but y’know what? I’ve never had it. But if it tastes as good as this candle smells, wow!

If you’re a fan of sweet and rich-smelling candles, this one really delivers and scents your home beautifully.

When was the last time you had a caramel apple? For me, it was probably when I was in grade school…grade 3 or 4!

In class, we made caramel apples by melting down the caramel squares and coating the apples. It was really yummy! Not sure why I haven’t made or eaten one since.

I picked up the Slatkin & Co. Caramel Apple Candle for nostalgic reasons.

Sometimes apple scents can be really tart and strong, which unfortunately gives me a major headache. But I thought that the blend of caramel would soften the apple to my liking.

In the container, it smelled soft and delicious. But how did it fare when I burned it? There’s only one way to find out!

Cream-coloured pumpkins don’t get my attention as much as orange ones, so for the longest time, I didn’t try the Slatkin & Co. Creamy Pumpkin Candle from Bath & Body Works.

This is an immensely sweet candle that’s extremely heavy on the caramel. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that the name ‘Creamy Pumpkin’ is misleading since the pumpkin is overpowered.

If you’re not a fan of gourmand or candy-like fragrances, this will turn you off big time. But if you love scents that smell edible, you may very well fall in love with this scented candle! Continue reading →
