China Glaze Sea Goddess CollectionHere’s something to get really excited about: the China Glaze Sea Goddess Collection is set to officially hit stores in February! (That’s just a stone’s throw away!)

I feel like the collection promo picture doesn’t do justice to the shades. But when you scroll down and see the individual bottle promo shots, those look really beautiful!

The 2 shades that really speak to me are Seahorsin’ Around (a vivid turquoise will always get my attention) and Wish on a Starfish (pink with gold is such a striking combination that I’m drawn to).

Aside from the interesting finish, another reason why I like textured polishes is that they typically dry lightning fast. That’s excellent if you lead a very busy lifestyle!

There’s so much variety, so if you like textured nail polishes, you’re going to have a field day with these!

OPI Brazil Collection 2014There may still be snow on the ground, and yeah, there was a nasty ice storm not long ago, but guess what? We’re going to focus instead on spring and summer. How does that sound?

PR sent me the OPI Brazil Collection Press Release & Promo Pictures. I’m so excited to share them with you!

The OPI Brazil Collection is set to be officially released in stores on February 5, so circle your calendars!

What I like about this collection is that there’s a huge variety of colours available, so I think there’s something to appeal to everyone.

Which 3 are on my drool-worthy list? The green (haha, what else is new?), bright yellow, and the orange!

Also, the OPI Brazil Collection has a mini set out. (Don’t you just love a cute mini set? Those little bottles always make me say, “Awwww!”)

Nicole by OPI Launches New Nail Lacquers in 2014 Press Release & Promo Pictures

Nicole by OPI 2014 Nail LacquersYesterday, I received the largest nail mail ever!

Nicole by OPI’s PR team sent me these 15 Nicole by OPI 2014 nail polishes as well as some new treatments. (Thank you so much, Langton Communications – you’re the best!)

Check out my Instagram account to see my little sneak peeks of the actual bottles in video clips: Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3. Also, I took a collective shot.

I’m really excited about these additions to the Nicole by OPI collection because there’s a great variety.

You have the staple pinks and traditionally feminine shades, glitterbombs, pastels, neutrals, and bold shades!

Which ones are you most curious about? I’ll try to review as many as I can after I wear them as full manicures, so if there are ones you’d like to see first, let me know. (Hehe, it’s gonna take a while since I don’t actually just ‘swatch’ nail polish. I have to wear them as actual manicures – makes me feel better!)

I’m thinking about doing some nail art with these babies. There are lots of great combinations to put together with these shades!

I’ll try to put together a Quick Look post featuring these shades since I think a lot of you would really enjoy it. Fingers, toes, and eyes crossed that I’ll be able to get it up next week.

Yesterday, NailPolishCanada.com reached out to me and told me about a Babyliss Miracurl giveaway they’re having that’s open to both Canadians and US residents.

The e-mail was written in a humourous way – I was laughing a lot! (Kudos to Tiffany and the writers!)

I’ll admit that the hair curler looks intimidating to me (*bawk bawk bawk*), but for those who are brave to try it and want to win one, you’re the reason why I’m sharing this giveaway! 🙂

P.S. Here’s a little known fact about me. My hair is actually naturally curly, but I flat iron it daily. (My dad’s mom had curly strawberry blond hair, so I must’ve gotten it from her.)

For years, I let my curls be…well, curly. (Think it was near the end of high school when I freed the ‘beast’!)

When I was a baby, my mom told me that strangers would comment (with disgust), telling her, “You shouldn’t perm a baby’s hair!” Haha, but they didn’t know my curls were natural. When she told them, they assumed she was lying. That, in itself, is hilarious, because my mom is one of the most honest, straight-shooting people I know. I guess people didn’t believe her because both my parents have straight hair.

It was actually just a few years ago when I went on a straightening kick. It’s fun to switch things up every now and then!

(Maybe in a future Smorgasbord Sundays post, I’ll post some photos, if I can dig them up. Wow, I haven’t written one of those in a while!)
