Haul of Shame: What I Bought with My 20% Sephora VIB Discount

Sephora VIB Discount Canada November 2012So…I did some serious damage. No, I didn’t go buck wild with a sledgehammer, but it sure was a harsh blow to my wallet!

Yeah, I’m talking about the current Sephora VIB sale! (VIBs get to use a 20% discount on anything in the store November 8th through the 12th.)

Since Sephora hardly has any storewide sales like this, I had to take advantage of it, and boy did I. Although the products I got aren’t colourful or fun, they’re practical and I’ll be using them all (well, except for one, which is a gift for my mom).

Haha, maybe you’ll think this is the most boring Haul of Shame post on here, but I’m still sharing it with you. (It’s okay…go ahead and yawn. I won’t be offended!) ๐Ÿ˜‰ And, yes, I’m embarrassed by how much I spent in a single trip (and literally in less than 15 minutes)!

Did you get anything from the VIB event, or are you going to?

Haul of Shame: Urban Decay Goodies, Nail Polishes & Eye Shadows

Urban Decay Haul of Shame Nail Polishes & Eye ShadowsSorry for this blog post being published a few hours later than usual. But it’s up now…woo hoo! Hope you’re all having a great weekend so far!

Lately I’ve been very good about limiting my purchases on beauty products, however this time, I splurged and did some retail therapy.

I didn’t go ballistic, but I plunked down a good amount of change. Also, all of the items were available at great prices, so it would be crazy not to snatch them up. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hehe, that’s how I’m justifying it…

I ended up with some makeup by Urban Decay, Prolana nail polish (which is a brand that’s new to me), and some Wet n Wild eye shadows.

Come take a closer look at the goodies! And if there’s a specific item that you’d like to see a review on first, please let me know in the comments, and I’ll see what I can do. ๐Ÿ™‚

Haul of Shame: Bath & Body Works Hand Soaps

Bath & Body Works Haul Hand SoapOn Friday, a couple of my friends and I met up at the mall after work and did a little shopping.

Of course we couldn’t resist heading into the Bath & Body Works store! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I picked up a bunch ofย Bath & Body Works Hand Soapsย – most of them were new fall scents. It helped that they were having the best deal I’ve ever seen on their soaps: 8 hand soaps for just $25 CAD! (Not sure how long that deal was on, but it’s no longer running. Sorry!)

And I was extremely tempted to buy the Bride of Frankenstein’s Monster mini candle holder! It would totally go with the one I bought last year of Frankenstein’s Monster! But…I didn’t leave with it…partially because I had tons of other heavy shopping bags to carry already and partially because I may just wait for it to inevitably go on sale.

I also was looking for the Pumpkin Cupcake candle that’s new for this fall. It sounds like it could be really yummy-smelling because it combines two of my favourite scents. However, my local store didn’t have it in stock yet. Hopefully it’ll be out for the Labour Day sale! I want to get that and the Bonfire Maplewood candle!

Come see the soaps I got in greater detail! Feel free to request reviews on the ones that interest you most, and I’ll try to use and then review those ones first.

Haul of Shame: Brand New 2012 Bundle Monster 25-Piece Set

New 2012 Bundle Monster 25 Piece Image Plate Set Review & PicturesNot long ago, I found out that there was a new 2012ย Bundle Monster 25-Piece Set, which just dropped!

Well, you can bet your acetone that I leapt onto my computer to place an order.

Stamping image plates are the easy (and fast) way to do amazing nail art. Even if you don’t think you have an artistic bone in your body, trust me – try stamping image plates, and you’ll become a Polish Picasso in no time.

I placed my order on June 19 and received them on June 28. That’s not too bad considering that they were going from Hawaii to Canada. (Heck, if I was in Hawaii, I might just stay there and enjoy the weather and the scenery.) ๐Ÿ˜‰

In this post, I’ll share photos of each plate so you can see all the unique designs offered. Hopefully it better helps you decide whether or not you ‘need’ this set.

Hehe, the second I saw the owl designs, it instantly became a must-have. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Haul of Shame: SpaRitual Nail Polishes

SpaRitual Nail Polish Haul of Shame PicturesSpaRitual is a brand of polish that seems so luxurious. I really like the packaging and the rubberized handle.

Normally I don’t buy SpaRitual nail polishes because they were harder to get hold of (at least for me). However, they’re now available at Sephora, so more people should be able to try them out. ๐Ÿ™‚

It was really difficult to limit myself to just these 6 colours. I knew that I had to get those greens (duh!). But come see what other ones jumped into my cart. (I’m innocent!) ๐Ÿ˜‰ Continue reading

Haul of Shame: Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Haul Swatch And LearnOkay, remember how not long ago, I swatched and reviewed two Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters (Peach Parfait and Lollipop)?

I was so sure that since having those plus Red Velvet, I was all set.

Boy was I wrong! ๐Ÿ˜›

Rexall had a sale on them for just $4.99 CAD each, and while I’ve been really good at cutting back on my beauty purchases, this deal sucked me in like a black hole. Resistance is futile! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Since it’s been a long time since I published a Haul of Shame post, I decided to do one today.

Haul of Shame: Quo by Orly 18 Piece Mini Nail Polish Gift Set

Quo by Orly 18 Piece Mini Nail Polish Gift Set Pictures PhotosIn script, the top of this box says, “Too much of a good thing is wonderful.” Hehe, I couldn’t agree more when it comes to nail polish! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Last week, I was in Shoppers Drug Mart and was going to leave the store when something caught my eye. No, it wasn’t the life-size Justin Bieber cardboard display. (I’m not a fan, but cut-outs like that always startle me because, at first glance, I always think they’re actual people staring at me.)

What caught my eye was this Quo by Orly 18 Piece Mini Nail Polish Gift Set!

I whipped right around, picked it up, and felt my heart race like a NASCAR driver on the final lap.

Eighteen cute mini polishes in a single box? (You know that song “So This Is Love” from Disney’s Cinderella? My little lacquer heart was singing it. Forget the prince! I danced with this straight to the cashier.) Continue reading
