For June, I whipped up a super simple design for PromCanada.com that you can complete quickly, and it only involves a few colours.
It’s literally as easy as 1-2-3! Plus you can easily match your dress and change up the design to suit your personality.
It uses 3 shades from the Nicole by OPI Seize the Summer Collection!
My Nail Art Tutorial for this look is featured on PromCanada.com. Click here to see the original article!
Thank you, PromCanada, for featuring me, and I look forward to sharing another fun nail-tutorial on your website in August!
What you will need:
- Base coat
- At least 3 different colours of nail polish
- Dotting tool
- Top coat

All swatches have the following nail polishes, which were provided by PR:
- Nicole by OPI 3-in-1 Base, Top Coat & Strengthener

Step 1:
After applying a base coat like the Nicole by OPI 3-in-1 Base, Top Coat & Strengthener, paint your nails with your base colour.

Step 2:
Choose your second colour, which you’ll use to create 3 dots vertically down the middle of each nail.
I used a dotting tool, but if you don’t have one, you can use a bobby pin or even the end of an old makeup brush that you don’t mind getting polish on.

Step 3:
With your third colour, apply smaller dots horizontally with a slight arc on the left and right of the dots you made in Step 2. (To apply smaller dots, use a lighter hand. The harder you press, the larger the dot.)

Tip: Allow your manicure to dry for at least 15 minutes before applying a top coat (like Nicole by OPI Quick Dry Top Coat) to avoid smudging the design.
I hope you liked this quick nail design and that you’ll try it!
Which of the 3 Nicole by OPI nail polishes do you like the most? Is there a nail design that you’d like to see a tutorial for? Let me know!
LOVE this design-simple but oh so pretty. Can’t wait to try it. Congrats on being featured in the magazine! That’s too cool!
Hey Melissa!
Thank you so much for your support! Yes, try out the design – it’s fun and fast!
Simple yet effective looks lovely Mary. I need to experiment with some art on mine!
Hey Gareth!
These are definitely “Busy Girl Nails” – haha! I seriously had very little time to breathe in May and June. But sometimes you still want to wear some fun nail art.
Congratulations! ^_^

Hey Lizzy!
Thank you so much for your support!
This nail art reminds me a little of a colourful string of pearls
Love this! Looks like layered necklaces, but for your nails!
