OPI Miss You-niverse Swatches & Review

OPI Miss You-niverse Swatches & ReviewIt’s been a little while since I brought you in-depth reviews of OPI I’m Feeling Sashy and OPI This Gown Needs a Crown from the Miss Universe Collection.

And it just hit me the other day that, although I wore OPI Miss You-niverse and took photos, I hadn’t cropped any photos. It’s about time! 😉

At long last, I’m showing you this gorgeous polish that applies like a dream that involves David Beckham. Hehe! 😉

Ed Hardy Skulls & Roses Limited Edition Fragrances Press Release & Promo Pictures

Ed Hardy Skulls & Roses Fragrances Chalkboard Limited EditionIf Shakesepeare’s Hamlet changed his famous soliloquy, “To be, or not to be, that is the question” into “To spray, or not to spray, that is the question” while holding up an Ed Hardy Skulls & Roses Limited Edition Fragrance (chalkboard version), he would’ve scored more Cool Points.

These colourful skulls feature a special finish that allows you to draw on them with chalk and to customize the bottle to make it truly your own.

I think this is a neat idea, and I love all the detailing on the bottles. You wouldn’t even know that they’re bottles for fragrance, so these double as home decor!

Since we’re nearing Hallowe’en, I think these skulls are perfect, but the fact that they also contain perfume for a woman (purple skull) and cologne for a man (red skull) makes them even more unique.

(The top of the skull actually comes off to reveal the nozzle used to spray the product.)

You may remember that 2 days ago, I posted an Instagram photo of these skulls. I laid them out with a backdrop of the skull scarf I bought from Garage that you may remember in this post.

I have both of the Ed Hardy Skulls & Roses limited edition fragrances, thanks to PR, and I’ll be putting my spin on them. Okay, I’m not a great drawer, but I have some ideas of what to put on each noggin’. 😉 I’ll show you the finished artwork when I’m done in a separate post!

China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection Press Release & Promo Pictures

China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze CollectionIt’s a bird! It’s a plane! Nope, it’s time flying by!

I can’t believe that soon it’ll be Hallowe’en in a few days and that Christmas is peeking at us from around the corner!

To get you in the festive spirit, today I’m blogging about the China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection, which will be hitting stores in November.

I received the press release just yesterday evening – hehe, so it’s hot off the press! 😉 Enjoy!

I’m looking forward to wearing many of the shades in this collection. The glitters look so blingy and perfect for Christmas, and the idea of a white-textured nail polish to mimic snow sounds very intriguing!

The colours that stand out the most to me are This Is Tree-mendous (greeen fieeend here!), Your Present Required, There’s Snow One Like You, and Put a Bow on It.

Based on these promo pictures, which are your top picks that pique your curiosity?

Nail Art: Hallowe’en Spooky Eyes Nails

Halloween Nails Nail ArtI wear glasses, so you can call me “Four Eyes”. But now I also wear Hallowe’en Spooky Eyes Nail Art with 6 extra pairs, so you can do the math before giving me a new nickname. 😉

“What big eyes you have!” “All the better to see you!” *Adjusts glasses* *Adjusts nails*

I was in the mood for an offbeat manicure, so I decided to go for googly eyes.

On my index and pinkie fingers, I used China Glaze Papaya Punch with one glitter coat of China Glaze Boo-Gie Down (from the Monsters Ball Collection). Then, for the other fingers, I used Nicole by OPI Fisher Queen (from the Carrie Underwood Collection). The eyes are made with China Glaze Snow and Deborah Lippmann Fade to Black.

Blog News: I Attended a Nicole by OPI Carrie Underwood Media Luncheon with Suzi Weiss-Fischmann (Plus Surprise Giveaway!)

Nicole by OPI Carrie Underwood Collection Media LuncheonBlogging continues to be a very rewarding project for me, and there have been moments when my eyes have watered up, thinking about the kind and talented people I’ve gotten to know and all the doors that have opened as a result of sticking to this since 2010.

On Tuesday October 1st, I attended a media luncheon where Suzi Weiss-Fischmann (the Executive Vice-President and Artistic Director of OPI) unveiled the new Nicole by OPI Carrie Underwood Collection that’s hitting stores in January 2014!

I posted some sneak peeks during the event on my Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook accounts.

If you’ve followed my blog for some time, you’ll remember that I met Suzi at 2 other events for a blogger dinner showcasing the Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez Collection (the 1st time) and for a media luncheon unveiling the OPI San Francisco Collection (the 2nd time).

For a nailphile to have met Suzi once alone is already a dream come true, so for me to have 3 opportunities seems so unreal! Each time, it’s inspiring!

Keep reading this blog post as I take you along the journey with me and show you photos.

Plus, you’ll want to read until the very end because I have a worldwide giveaway for a special nail polish autographed by Suzi! You won’t want to miss out!

Edit: Congratulations to Suzanne! She won my giveaway for the OPI Pure 18K White Gold & Silver Top Coat signed by Suzi! (She has 48 hours to reply to my e-mail to claim her prize.) Thanks to everyone for participating. Please stay tuned for my next giveaway.
