Who needs a shamrock? You can bring the luck of the Irish in manicure form with Zoya Ireland from the Whispers Collection!
I consider this to be an ‘entry-level green’ because it’s a safe choice – not ‘too’ green (if there is such a thing), and it’s muted enough that it can blend in comfortably with an elegant, neutral outfit.
A ‘quiet’ colour like this sneaks up on you. It doesn’t need to knock on your door violently or bring the local one-man-band to your workplace to get attention.
It has a tranquil confidence that I can appreciate, and it’s especially wonderful to wear during the transition from winter to spring.

Zoya Ireland Review
Colour
Ireland by Zoya is a green that’s easy like Sunday morning.
Balancing between yellow and blue undertones, Zoya suggests that it will be flattering with a wide range of skin tones. I’m all for that! The more people who embrace a green nail polish, the happier I am. 😉
The muted nature makes this more wearable for those who perhaps aren’t yet comfortable sporting any green. (It’s so demure that you could almost use it like a neutral to combine with a palette of beige and taupe. That would be classy yet modern.)
Finish
Its silky creme finish is quiet like a whisper, yet it offers an air of sophistication. Plus there are no hang-ups when it comes time to remove it. Easy peasy!
Application & Formula
Two coats of Ireland by Zoya provided great coverage, and the formula was easy to control with the brush. It wasn’t too watery or too thick, so I didn’t have any issue with accidentally flooding my cuticles.
Ingredients & Vegan-Friendly
Zoya’s vegan-friendly nail polishes don’t contain any Toluene, Camphor, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, or DBP.

Final Verdict: 8/10
A lot of the green nail polishes I sport tend to be loud, whether they’ve vivid in saturation, extremely bright, or seductively vampy. So it was a treat to wear a muted green that offers a level of mature sophistication and classy charm like Zoya Ireland offers! This is a great green to wear in those situations when bold greens may not be appropriate.
Are you comfortable wearing all shades of green nail polish, or is there a specific saturation that you’re happiest with? Do you have a ‘lucky’ nail polish?
This is a pretty Spring green. I picked it up not long after you first mentioned it here. I’m actually wearing it now on 2 of my nails. It’s a very simple, soothing color and it looks great on you. Thanks for sharing with us!
Hey Melissa!
Yay – we’re Zoya Ireland nail twins! 😉
I’m still waiting for Whispers to appear with my local webshop… and this is SO going to be my favorite (I think) 🙂

Hey Joyce!
The wait will be worth it. These muted shades are just what nails crave during this stage between winter and spring!
Hi Mary! Long time listener, first time caller here. Your reviews have been helpful in the past, so I thought I’d ask if this Zoya was in any way similar to OPI Stranger Tides/Essie Da Bush. Thanks! 🙂

Hey Rach!
Really happy to hear that you’ve been visiting my blog for a while and that you’re leaving your first comment! (Feel free to comment again. I love interacting with fellow nail enthusiasts.)
Yes, Zoya Ireland is quite similar to OPI Stranger Tides and Essie Da Bush, in that they’re all soothing sage greens.
I’d say that Ireland is closer to Da Bush because both of those are just a smidgeon darker than Stranger Tides.
Between Ireland and Da Bush, I think you can probably get away with just owning one, since they’re so similar…unless you collect all the sage greens. 😉 Hope that helps!
Thank you, Mary! I haven’t seen this Zoya collection in person (yet), so this is good to know. I do have both the Essie and OPI, plus versions by Sinful and Sephora’s Formula X, so I guess you could say I do collect all the sage greens … 😉
Hey Rach!
My pleasure. I’m glad you asked because it gave me a good reason to pull out those other polishes and compare. (The polishes thank you because they were sitting in a lonely corner of my Helmer! Don’t worry, I made sure to let them know that I still love them very much.) 😉
There’s something beautiful about sage greens – calm yet different. I can see why you have a penchant for them. Hehe, then again, I’m a general green fiend! 🙂
I adore this color 🙂
It looks so amazing 🙂
I really love the shape of your nails too 🙂
I wish my nails would grow a bit longer but they grow soooo slow during the winter months 😀
xx
Hey Shortylegsbeauty!
Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement. It is greatly appreciated!
I have heard that some people take biotin supplements to help them grow their nails. It’s supposed to be beneficial for the skin and hair, too. Have you tried it?
P.S. Short nails look awesome, too! Hehe, I can’t commit to one length. I tend to trim them short and then grow them really long. Some polish colours just suit different lengths better, I think. For instance, I love dark shades and neons the most when my nails are shorter.
