Color Club Wild At Heart Swatches & Review

Color Club Wild At Heart Swatches & ReviewIt seems like such a crime that I’ve never reviewed Color Club Wild At Heart on here until now. Put the handcuffs on me, and lock me away!

Sure, I’ve flossed it in a holographic-rainbow leopard nail-art post a while back, but it really deserves to have the spotlight focused on it solo.

I’m gonna call it like it is right here: This is the most perfect grape holographic polish I have in my entire collection. It’s pigmented and the holo effect is stunning.

There were some bloggers who’ve said that they got duds, but my bottle seems to be the good formula because I was far from disappointed! 🙂 In fact, the first stroke I painted with this, I remember getting giddy because I couldn’t believe how it was a one-coater!

Color Club Wild At Heart Review

Colour

Wild At Heart by Color Club is the kind of purple that’s fit for royalty, if the royal family got funky on the dance floor and shook what their mama gave ’em. 😉

Under artificial light at work, I could see a bit of the holo, but that pales in comparison to when you take this baby outside. Yeah, that’s right – it wants you to flaunt it for everyone to see. That exhibitionist! 😛

Look at your nails in the sunlight, and holy Bedazzled jeans! It is a holographic polish that seems to harness the power of hypnotism.

I had to force myself to look away, lest I be forever transfixed on it. (Haha, my boss isn’t paying me to look at my nails! I wish!)

This purple is a grape kind of purple – one of my favourites! You can never go wrong with a colour like this.

Finish

Yup, it’s a scattered holo. That means you can see what I call a pixel-like rainbow. And each ‘pixel’ has some fire and guts!

Application & Formula

The formula was a true beauty. You can get away with a single coat, but I always feel comfortable wearing a minimum of 2 coats (y’know, just to anchor the polish on my nails to account for any shrinkage).

Applying this was easy and breezy. The polish only went where I put it, and it wasn’t streaky even in the slightest.

Pros

  • Amazing deep-purple holo
  • Affordable holo
  • Great formula makes application a cinch
  • One coat covers the nail
Cons

  • Hard to find this colour in a brick-and-mortar store. (But you’ll be able to find it online easily.)

Final Verdict: 10/10

Wild At Heart by Color Club is a polish that captured my heart and stole the show. Since the time I first tried using it in my Rainbow Holographic Leopard Konadicure, I knew that this was back-up worthy!

If you like purple polish and holos, this marries them for a match made in lacquer heaven! 🙂

What’s your favourite holographic polish you own or have seen? Are you wild at heart?

Love, love this color. My fave color is blue, but I notice I’m buying more purples and greens of late. My youngest would fight me for this color and she’s only 11 yrs. old. Purple is her fave color. She is picking up my good habit of wanting nail polish ( he he he). Always enjoy your site. Thank you for taking the time to do this. It has really helped my decide on some of the colors I was not sure about buying. Keep up the great job. :~)

      Hey Melissa!

Hehe, that’s cool how your daughter’s getting into polish. Maybe you can have a girls’ night in and paint each others’ nails for fun!

This is gorgeous, I don’t have many Color Clubs…I rarely gravitate towards their section. I don’t know why. I will be keeping an eye out for this now, even though you mentioned its not easy to find in stores…I’ll still keep my eyes open, you never know.

      Hey Frosso!

The great thing about Color Club is that they’re so affordable. If they were easier for me to buy in person, I would have many more in my collection! (I’m trying to cut back on my online-polish purchases because the shipping can really add up. Plus it’s fun to be able to see a polish in person and get it immediately if you’re interested.)

Oh my. I’ve forgotten why I’ve had this on my must have list (it’s been there for a while but it keeps getting pushed back as the list gets ever longer) and now I remember why. This is gorgeous! But..I’m trying to stay away from the vampys for a bit, as recent tally indicates I have way too many of them (they comprise about 60-70% of my stash). I guess this beauty will have to wait some more before it joins my polish family.

      Hey Carmela!

Too many? I thought that they’re like shoes – you can never have too many. 😉 Wow, but 60-70% is a lot. It’s good that you realize this and are branching out to other colours. 🙂 Maybe you’ll find another colour family that rivals the blues and vampy ones? 😉

      Hey MariJo!

Yay for not getting a dud. I always feel sorry for people who get bad batches because it’s such a downer when you’ve pumped yourself up after seeing lots of photos online of it, come home, and then it’s not what you expected.

Color Club should release more rich holos like this. Maybe a blue! Oh, can you imagine? *Gasp*
