Nail Art: Argyle Konadicure Using Nubar Indigo Illusion & Konad Image Plate m60

Nubar Indigo Illusion Swatches Argyle Konadicure SwatchesI’m a big fan of argyle, so even though it’s typically associated more with fall, I have no qualms about sporting it into the summer. Wear what you want whenever you want. That’s my nail-polish philosophy.

Surprisingly, I hadn’t tried the argyle pattern from the Konad m60 Image Plate. With all the plates I have, I probably overlooked it, but it’s no longer neglected!

Here, I’ve done an Argyle Konadicure with the incredible Nubar Indigo Illusion, which is a multichrome that I wore for the first time!

Really love this combination, and I thought up another neat idea that I may try to execute soon. Keep your eyes peeled on Swatch And Learn for it!

Konad Image Plate m60 Review (Argyle)

I’m totally biased because I love argyle. But thank goodness the pattern worked out well. It was easy to pick up. I did this Konadicure in a hurry and I wasn’t being careful at all. So it’s a true testament to the quality of the engraving that it turned out well on the nail.

Since I really enjoyed wearing this argyle pattern, I’ve thought up another fun look I can do with it. Hopefully it turns out as well as I’m envisioning it in my head. Watch for it in a future post. 🙂

I really like this manicure!!! I’ve been eyeing indigo illusions for a while now… And your closeup where the light purple shimmer shows through makes me want it even more!!!! Such a pretty colour and nicely accessorized with the stamp. 🙂

      Hey Marta!

Thanks so much. 🙂 You should definitely get it – it’s a special color, indeed. And Nubar actually brought it back because of the demand for it. I think it’s fun how at certain angles, you also see green. Kinda like a hidden surprise for the wearer!

I’m actually going to post a separate review with swatches of Nubar Indigo Illusion by itself really soon, so come back to check it out.

Have you tried any other Nubar polishes? I highly recommend them because they often have unique and bold shades. Plus the formula is usually spot-on.

      Hey Reena!

Yeah, argyle tops are my favorite in the fall – they can look really funky or really classy, depending on the color combination.

I actually reviewed Nubar Indigo Illusion by itself today so you can see the multichrome better without the Konadicure covering it up: http://www.swatchandlearn.com/nubar-indigo-illusion-swatches-review/

No, I haven’t tried newspaper nails yet, but I did try the same technique with Archie comics: http://www.swatchandlearn.com/nail-art-tutorial-archie-comic-nail-art-swatches/

      Have you tried newspaper nails?

Nubar Indigo Illusion looks like a polish I need in my life! It really goes well with the argyle print. I’ve tried konading once before, but it didn’t come out so nice…definitely nothing close to yours, haha. This is gorgeous! 🙂

      Hey Kristine!

Yes, that colour is incredible by itself, but when you stamp over it, it really is a ‘pow design’…haha!

Don’t give up – keep trying to stamp! 🙂 It seriously just takes a few practices and then you’re golden. I’m not a professional and there are lots of other people who have WAY more experience than I do. Just remember that it doesn’t have to come out perfect. You just have to like it and have fun with it. 🙂 That’s what I tell myself when I smudge a design. The imperfections make the design have a more human touch anyway. 🙂
