In a previous post, I pledged to pay more attention to taking care of my lips. I solemnly swear not to let them crack or dry up again, to always protect them from the harsh cold and burning heat, to… Well, you get the picture.
I’ve been purchasing many lip care and treatments lately. So many products, only 1 set of lips! Today, I’ll be reviewing The Body Shop Born Lippy Pink Guava Lip Balm. And let me tell ya: it smells sooo delicious. But I have a feeling it’s one of those scents that you either absolutely hate or love.

The Body Shop Pink Guava Lip Balm Review
Scent
The scent of The Body Shop Pink Guava Lip Balm isn’t for everyone. It’s exotic. Not a sweet fragrance, but definitely fruity. Have you ever had watermelon Jolly Ranchers? The smell is sort of like that, only not artificial. I love it!
Taste
I don’t expect you to eat this. But hey, you’ll be putting it on your lips – there’s a huge chance you’ll get it on your tongue! The Body Shop Pink Guava has a mild sweet taste that’s pleasant. It does kind of make me want to lick my lips…
Consistency
This lip balm has a medium consistency. It feels like you’ve coated your lips with protection, but it’s in no way waxy. And it goes on the lips easily, too, but you won’t feel like it’s slippery at all. If you’re Goldilocks, you might say the silkiness is just right!
Results
For incredibly chapped lips, I suggest using Chapstick or something similar. This Body Shop lip balm does add some hydration to your lips – I wouldn’t say it’s too moisturizing. It definitely won’t get rid of major dryness.
It will put a lot of glisten to your pout though. Don’t worry – you won’t look like you’ve just smeared olive oil on your lips. The result is more like dewy wet lips. Very pretty.
The one major thing I’d change about this is putting in an SPF… especially since glosses attract the sun even more. Yes, your lips need sun protection, too!
Lasting Power
Sad to say this though: The Body Shop Pink Guava Lip Balm doesn’t stay on very long. I give it about 40 minutes before the moisture and the gloss wear off.
Environmental
TBS Pink Guava Lip Balm contains beeswax – it is organic and was produced in an environmentally sustainable way. On their site, they state that the beekeepers use traditional techniques that don’t disturb the natural equilibrium.

Final Verdict: 8.1/10
I love the scent and the gloss that this provides, so I’m sold! The only thing I really don’t like is having to dip my finger into the pot…
Have you tried The Body Shop’s lip balms? Which scent is your favorite?
I find the fun in reapplying balms or glosses. Love these. I have a few lip balms from TBS and I love them mainly for their smell and flavours and lovely to reapply. :p I’m obsessed with these

Hi Nivedita!
Which scent is your favorite so far? I also have the Satsuma one, but I like Pink Guava more. So yummy.
