The Zoya Urban Grunge Collection train keeps on chugging along!
Today, I have a peek at the second half, the One Coat Creams, which will be available to purchase on Zoya’s website starting August 15. (If you missed yesterday’s post, I shared with you swatches of the other half of the collection, the Metallic Holos.)
All of them applied like a dream and were indeed creamy as advertised. Highly opaque and shiny, you could get away with using a single coat, but out of habit, I applied two coats of each colour for my swatches.
These have the formula and pigmentation that I’ve come to expect from Zoya. They’re very consistent.
Mallory (blue) and Wyatt (green) were my favourites from the collection because they pack a colourful punch. However, be prepared to spend a little extra time removing Mallory because I found that it tends to get on your skin and cuticles. (After removing as much as you can, washing your hands several times will help to lift most of the blue.)
I also really enjoyed the vampy hues in this collection, Tara (purple) and Courtney (red) because they scream autumn to me.
There are 12 shades in the Zoya Urban Grunge Collection. They’re broken down into two sets: Metallic Holos and One Coat Creams.
There are six Metallic Holos:
- Alicia
- Troy
- Merida
- Finley
- Britta
- Ash

What colour is calling your name? Which colour says autumn to you the most? If you could see one of these shades reviewed for an upcoming in-depth post, which would it be?
These are all so pretty. Mallory has got my attention, but I’m curious how does it compare to Song or Sia? It looks very similar to some of Zoya’s other rich blue colors. Thanks as always for sharing! Your nails look great!
Hey Melissa!
Mallory is bold, but just a hint less so than Sia.
Song has a completely different finish than Mallory, but in terms of colour, I think Song is darker.
The collection is very beautiful! Tara is the best color, it looks a little bit like crelly, can’t believe it’s only on coat! And the gloss, oh…
Hey Valentina!
Yes, the One Coat Creams are amazingly pigmented and shiny! 🙂 I used two coats in my swatches, but you could get away with just one.
Wyatt and Courtney are calling my name although I do like all of them. Great fall shades and your swatches are perfection!
Hey Mollie!
Aww, you’re super sweet. Thank you! I’m always happy to hear when readers enjoy my swatches – really brightens my day! 🙂
Love them all!
Hey Marcia!
It’s so hard to pick favourites. They are all so creamy and glossy!
Courtney and Tara both are such classic fall shades, but I am really loving Wyatt. It looks so lush on your nails!
Hey Ashley!
Hehe, Wyatt is right up my alley. I think my nails “smile” when I wear green nail polish. 😉
Thanks for the beautiful swatches!
Wyatt looks a lot like OPI’s Jade is the New Black, which I LOVE but has since decided to switch to 5-free/less toxic formulas. I’ve been looking for a replacement and Wyatt looks promising. Do you think it’s a close enough dupe?
Hey Kate!
Hmm, I think that they’re pretty comparable in terms of finish, from what I remember. However, I would say that Zoya Wyatt has a more pigmented formula.
