Zoya Brynn Swatches & Review

Zoya Brynn Swatches Review

Zoya Brynn is a flamboyant pink from the Sunsets Collection that I love so much!

As you may already know, pink nail polish isn’t my favourite to wear, however, when I do sport one, I prefer it to be as vibrant as strawberry punch. (Yes, I’m clinging onto the last bits of summer as much as I can, even though autumn has my heart.)

P.S. If you’re looking for fall shades, be sure to check out my swatches of the entire Zoya Urban Grunge Collection: the One Coat Creams and the Metallic Holos. (You will fall madly in love with it, as I have!)

P.P.S. I’ve been quite busy lately, but I’ve been checking out the wonderful comments that you’ve left on the blog. Will get around to replying this weekend! Don’t worry – I haven’t forgotten about you. (That’s not possible!) Thanks for your support, understanding, and patience.

Zoya Brynn Review

Colour

Brynn by Zoya is a medium pink that’s the classic girly shade to put you in a good mood. I think it would look flattering on a variety of skin tones from fair to rich because it’s not too light to wash you out, and it’s saturated enough to add contrast.

This is the kind of colour that I feel also isn’t necessarily tied to any season, even though it’s from a summer collection. From Breast Cancer Awareness Month (i.e. October) to Valentine’s Day (i.e. February) to the summertime, I feel that it looks great.

(But remember, you can wear whatever colour you want no matter of what seasons dictate. Nail polish is about having fun and not to be taken too seriously. Enjoy experimenting with colour!) 🙂

Finish

I’m in love with Zoya’s creme formula because they never let me down. This one’s no exception. It’s indeed creamy and very pigmented. It’s smooth and shiny, even before you apply a top coat. Love, love, love!

Application & Formula

The top-notch formula is easy and breezy to apply. It goes on with minimal effort, and you can paint over the same area a few times to ensure that you get a smooth finish. It’s forgiving in this way, so you can take your time to paint each nail instead of rushing.

Since it was very pigmented, I only needed to use two coats to reach full opacity.

Ingredients

Brynn by Zoya doesn’t contain any Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, DBP, or Camphor. Also, Zoya’s nail polishes are vegan-friendly.

Pros

  • Classic girly pink
  • Flattering on fair & rich skin tones
  • Pigmented formula (2 coats for full opacity)
  • Smooth & creamy
  • No Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, DBP, or Camphor
  • Vegan-friendly

Cons

  • Not a pink that reinvents the colour wheel, but it’s still a great one to own (especially if you’re growing your collection or you just want a fuss-free pink)

Final Verdict: 8/10

Even though I’m not the biggest fan of pink nail polish, there are some that I like more than others. Zoya Brynn is certainly the one that falls into the category of being a no-brainer in that it guarantees an easy painting process, saturated colour, and rich pigmentation.

It deserves a high score for its ease of use and also because it’s universally appealing!

What’s a nail polish that you reach for when you want a hassle-free manicure? How many Zoya nail polishes are in your collection?

This is a really pretty color but it’s not the most original color. I have at least 2 or 3 other polishes that are the same shade or almost the same shade of pink. Thanks for sharing with us! Your nails look amazing as always. 🙂

      Hey Melissa!

Hehe, as our nail-polish collections continue to grow, it becomes more challenging for companies to put out unique colours. 😉

The other day, I was walking by a nail salon, and I leaned in to look at their display of polishes on the shelf. I was both happy and embarrassed that my collection was probably 20 times larger. It’s a strange, but exciting feeling. Hehe, I know you understand this feeling all too well! 🙂

Absolutely! 🙂 My co-workers usually don’t believe me when I try to tell them how many polishes I have until I show them a couple of photos of some of my Helmer drawers. Now they don’t question it. LOL
I’m twisted 🙂 because I love the look on peoples’ faces whenever I’m out in public and the topic of polish or manicures comes up and I tell them how many I have-it’s priceless! LOL

      Hey Melissa!

Haha, pictures say a thousand words, don’t they? 🙂 Totally get the same feeling when the number of polishes come up, although sometimes I’m a bit embarrassed, too.

One time a friend came over and saw a few polishes on my table. It was the OPI Washington DC Collection, and he commented about how he can see that I really love nail polish. I told him that was only a sliver of it. When I pulled out just one drawer in my Helmer to show him, he was shocked. Haha! I wish I could get a snapshot of that facial expression.
