Sometimes I crave a color that screams, “I’m hyperactive!”

China Glaze Kiwi Cool-Ada is a shocking neon green that does just that.

It’s very strange, but in low light, this neon nail polish seems to appear a hundred times brighter. Looks like it could glow in the dark, even though it doesn’t. Yes, that’s how bright it is!

I can never accurately capture neon polish with my camera. Photos always turn out more muted than the color in real life.

Take a look at my swatches. Now, imagine them being waaaaay brighter much like a highlighter! That’s more accurate.

China Glaze Kiwi Cool-Ada Review

Color

Kiwi Cool-Ada by China Glaze is my favorite neon-green nail polish to wear because it makes my nails pop. It’s exactly the same color as a strong green highlighter.

Since I tend to talk with my hands a lot, whenever I wear this, it’s pretty funny what kind of reaction I get from others. Other people have stopped mid-sentence while talking with me to look at my nails. And once, a guy said that he just saw ‘flashes of green light’…hehe!

Application, Formula & Finish

Like your typical neon, Kiwi Cool-Ada dries matte and goes on streaky even after putting on 3 coats carefully. When you add a shiny top coat, it minimizes the streaking and also amplifies the neon-ness. And it appears to have a jelly finish.

The one good thing about the formula is that because it’s matte, it dries in a flash!

Despite the lackluster formula, I still really love wearing this polish. And I suggest that if you wear it, that you always wear it with a shiny top coat or else it looks pretty terrible.

Also, in person and in some lighting, you can see visible nail line. This doesn’t bother me much, but if you don’t like it, try layering it over white.

China Glaze Kiwi Cool-Ada doesn’t contain Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP, or Formaldehyde resin, which makes it Big-4-Free.

China Glaze Kiwi Cool-Ada is a fun neon green to wear. If you don’t mind putting up with a streaky matte formula that requires a shiny top coat to look good, this is a great polish!

You could also try layering this over a coat of white polish to reduce the streaking and to intensify the neon even more.
