This is What I Wore on My Nails for Hallowe’en! 🙂
At first I really wanted to do some Frankenstein Monster or witch nail art, but I was so pressed for time. However, I didn’t want to just wear any ole manicure. It needed that Hallowe’en spirit!
As I browsed my nail-polish collection, my eyes zeroed in on Pretty Serious Swatch And Learn, the multichromatic green that I designed. (Click the link to see it solo – the multiple colours really shine through that way.)
But it needed more of a festive vibe, so I kept searching for something to layer on top. Finally – I found my bottle of OPI Where’s My Blanket???, which is from the OPI Peanuts Collection. It’s a glitter polish suspended in a clear base, and it has pale peach, black, and white sequins.
Layering a coat of OPI Who Are You Calling Bossy?!?, a black creme also from the OPI Peanuts Collection, I put the green on top. I did this to darken the green. The finishing touch was the glitter. Together, I call this manicure “Hallowe’en Soup” – hehe, it’s the first thing that sprung to my mind!
Edit: This is the manicure I wore to the OPI Hawaii Collection Media Launch on October 31, 2014!

What did you wear on your nails for Hallowe’en? Did you also wear a costume? When you don’t have too much time to spend on your nails, but still want a nice manicure, is there a nail polish you reach for because it’s a tried-and-true favourite?
LOVE these nails! They are so simple and very festive. You always have gorgeous nails. Hope you hade a great Halloween.
Hey Melissa!
Thank you for encouraging me so much and for commenting regularly. Whenever I see your comments, I smile! 🙂 I’ve been falling behind a bit on replying to all my lovely readers’ comments, but if I reply to a few each day, eventually I’ll catch up. It’s just that after work, I’ve been feeling more exhausted than usual these days.
Halloween isn’t a big deal over here (although store owners try to convince us we need pumpkins and skulls and spiderwebs and witches) so I wore Illamasqua Stagnate as I had just received that and I really wanted to see what it looked like 🙂
Hmmmm… soup, eh? So what are the black parts? Burned peas or just black lentils? 😉

Hey Joyce!
Hehe, yeah, anything to “sell” the holiday, right? 😉 Although I wish they sold pumpkins all year long. I can’t get enough of them – even if it’s just looking at them. They make me smile!
Haha, the black parts in the Monster Soup are squid ink and bat droppings. 😛
OMG I love it!!! ^_^

Hey Lizzy!
Thank you! 🙂 I really enjoyed wearing this manicure, and I think I only removed it after a full 7 days!
