Revlon Emerald City Matte Suede Review & Swatches

I’m drawn to green polishes like a zombie to brains. Neeeeeeed green nail polishes. Yummmmmmm.

My most-recent green-nail-polish purchase is Revlon Emerald City Matte Suede. In the bottle it doesn’t look all that unique – I’ve seen many dark greens like this before and actually own a few, but I was sold by it being a “Matte Suede”… although I have some bones to pick with Revlon about that. I wouldn’t classify this as suede, and it can barely be labeled as matte.

Plus, the name Emerald City? It’s not a very original name! Basically everything green is named that nowadays! That aside: I actually really do like this color. It’s deep and green and vibrant and deep and green and vibrant… Totally gorgeous. I think it’s one of my favorite green-green polishes that I’ve worn this year. Continue reading

Revlon Orange Pop Review & Swatches

I’m not a very bright and sunny person, and the colors I like reflect that. So it’s not really a surprise that Revlon Orange Pop is my first ever orange nail polish. But you know what? I like the happy-go-lucky, look-at-me-I’m-more-vibrant-than-the-sun, and I-demand-all-the-attention-you-can-give-me orange.

Although I probably wouldn’t have picked this up if it weren’t scented. Yes, I was drawn in forcefully by the novelty of a scented nail polish. I’m weak. Sue me. 😛 I call this a novelty because, well, this fad fades fast. The color, however, I think is here to stay. It’s very pretty, and I would wear it even if the polish isn’t fragranced. Revlon Midnight Affair Review & Swatches

Well, surprise, surprise. I’m reviewing another beauty product that’s blue. I think it’s kind of safe to say that I’m having a love affair with this color. Sorry, Purple. Sorry, Green. You have been replaced! At least for now.

When I saw Revlon Midnight Affair, I couldn’t stop staring at it. The lighting at the drugstore was just right – it added this twinkle to the deep royal blue. It was love at first sight! But alas, it’s not a fairytale.

You know how you should never trust the lighting at the club or a bar? That cute someone is never cute when you see them during the day. That’s how I feel with this nail polish! When I got it home and applied it, I realized I was tricked by the lights. Don’t get me wrong: it’s a nice color… just not as nice as I’d thought. Continue reading

Best Drugstore Beauty Products & Finds

It’s gee-golly swell if you can afford to drop $30 on a lip gloss and $50 on a face primer. But really, a lot of us just don’t have the budget to do that – not even once in a while!

So when it comes to beauty products, I’ve learned not to discriminate. I’ve also learned that there are a lot of great drugstore products out there that do an awesome job, but for way less. You end up getting more makeup and products that you love for the money you’re willing to spend. And who doesn’t love that? 🙂

Today, I want to share with you the best drugstore beauty products & finds that I’ve come across. Let me know if you agree with any of these or if there are products you’d recommend! Continue reading

Revlon Pedi-EXPERT Shower Pedicure Kit Review & Pictures

Alert: Talk of feet in this post (not in details though, in case they gross you out).

Ever since I started working out rigorously at the gym, I’ve been annoyed with how rough the bottoms of my feet were. That’s why I got the Revlon Pedi-EXPERT Shower Pedicure Kit…hoping it can help reveal softer skin.

A glamorous product, it is not. Practical, it is. But while I do find it useful, I don’t think it’s an incredible product that deserves to be in everyone’s shower caddy. Why? Continue reading

Revlon No Shrinking Violet Review & Swatches

The colors you wear not only affect how you look, but they can really transform how you feel, too. Take purple for example – it makes me feel strong, feminine and regal! That’s why when I saw Revlon No Shrinking Violet, I just had to have it in my nail-polish collection.

In the bottle, it looks like it has a soft pearlescent finish to it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite translate on the nail. But I still like the Revlon No Shrinking Violet Nail Enamel for days when I need a color pick-me-up. Continue reading
