Misa Girls' Night Out Swatches & ReviewAlthough I have a bunch of Misa nail polishes in my stash, it dawned on me that I hadn’t swatched and reviewed one on here.

Back when I first started collecting nail polish more seriously (in 2008), I used to buy Misa polishes a lot. (Haven’t bought one in a long time…ever since I saw the unnecessarily sexual promo picture for their I’m Only Human Collection.)

Today I bring you Misa Girls’ Night Out! Believe it or not, this is the first time I’ve worn it in all these years.

I got it because on other people, it looked like a bright purple. But, as you can see, on me it’s actually a berry-toned pink. Pretty, but not a colour I wear often because it usually doesn’t do anything for me. Love the super-shininess of it, though!

Please bear with me. The sun didn’t come out the entire time I wore this, so I can only really show you pictures in dim natural lighting (which makes my photos grainy) and with flash (which makes the colours look brighter than in real life). Continue reading

Nail Art Tutorial: Fried Egg Nails

Egg Nails Tutorial, Pictures & SwatchesIf you follow Swatch And Learn on Twitter, you’ll know that a few days ago, I woke up in the morning with a strong craving for chili. Very unusual considering I like having eggs for breakfast.

Today, I decided to pay tribute to one of my favorite things to eat for breakfast…because sometimes I’m a bit of a goofball. Normally I like scrambled eggs, but I thought that a fried, sunny-side-up egg would look cuter and less like polish poo-poo. (Yes, I am also apparently very mature, which is why I said poo-poo. And which is why I also said it a second time.)

Hope you have fun looking at my silly Fried Egg Nails! It was really simple to do, and I’ve explained it all step-by-step alongside visual aids in case you’d like to try it, too.

If you try your hand at it, maybe you could also add some bacon! (With all the scented polishes out there, it’s too bad there isn’t a bacon-scented one…although I’m not sure if I would want to smell like bacon all the time. The neighborhood dogs might chase after me…) Continue reading
