I love to draw. It’s the one hobby that I’ve had a life-long interest in. I haven’t done it in a while, but I really should pick it up again. It’s very stress-relieving. Back when I was drawing a lot, graphite pencils are some of my fave instruments to use. I just love creating shades and depths with them.

So when I was doing a lil’ shopping and saw L.A. Girl Metal Graphite, I felt obligated to get it. It was calling out to me: “Geeeet meeeee. Get me, Fiona!” And I did. OK, I don’t really hear makeup products talking to me. I swear. Well, not all the time.

Was I glad that the nail polish convinced me to buy it? Yes! I’m usually drawn to charcoal/smoky gray shades, so I knew I would like this color. I just didn’t think I’d find it sexy! Continue reading →

I got L.A. Girl Metal Deep Sea Mica during one of my Cherry Culture hauls. My shopping bag was already brimming with goodies (this was right after I gotz paid), but I decided to shop around some more. Not a very smart choice. I think I ended up with about 50% more stuff in my shopping bag because of that decision.

Deep Sea Mica was one of those last-minute buys that I’m glad I made. I love this color. I don’t think it should be in the L.A. Girl Metal Collection though, seeing as there’s nothing metallic about the color. But I don’t care! I don’t care! I don’t care! I love this beautiful shade! I feel a little inadequate following a review on a $52+ polish with one on a $2.24 color. Wow. Just writing that makes me feel like a big cheapo! But you know what? L.A. Girl Metal Millennium definitely proves you shouldn’t judge a polish by its price tag.

The grape-juice purple looks pretty in the bottle. I didn’t expect that color to transfer onto my nails though. It totally proved me wrong! It’s not Unicorn Pee by any means, but I guess it can be Barney’s Blood? (Sounds a bit morbid!)

I’m not head-over-heels in love with the color though. However, I find the formula to be super impressive. So if you really like this color, don’t hesitate to get it! Continue reading →
