China Glaze Blue Sparrow Swatches & Review

China Glaze Blue Sparrow SwatchI was in a Smurfy mood, so I turned to one of my favorites – China Glaze Blue Sparrow from the Ink Collection that came out a couple of summers ago.

Not only does this polish have a long-lasting formula, but the shade of blue is to die for! It’s a vibrant comic-book blue with blue glitter that’s fun to wear.

This is one of those colors that I’ve worn multiple times even though I have an embarrassing number of colors to choose from. China Glaze Blue Sparrow is bright, but not shocking. And it’s glittery, but not a disco ball. Tell me what you think of this color! Continue reading

China Glaze Pool Party Swatches & Review

China Glaze Pool Party SwatchFlashing someone has never been so much fun…when you have an in-your-face, burn-your-retina neon pink nail polish like China Glaze Pool Party!

I rarely wear the same color twice just because there’s a whole bunch of bottles in my untried section. But there’s just something about China Glaze Pool Party that compels me to wear it several times.

Because it’s so bright, it’s fun to wear and lifts up my mood. It’s from summer’s Poolside Collection, but I enjoy wearing this the most during the fall and winter because it really stands out among all the vampy hues on the market.

When you look at my China Glaze Pool Party swatches, please remember that neon nail polish is very hard to photograph true to color. I did my best to capture its essence, but it’s actually much more neon than it appears in my pictures. Continue reading

China Glaze Emerald Sparkle Swatches & Review

China Glaze Emerald Sparkle SwatchesChina Glaze Emerald Sparkle is like the first guy you kissed – unforgettable. But like a good boyfriend, it’s always there for you when you need a pick-me-up. And like the David Beckham look-alike in your lecture hall, it’s so gorgeous you can’t take your eyes off it!

I clearly remember drooling over Scrangie’s swatches of this beauty from the 2008 Sleigh Ride Collection – it was everything I ever wanted in a green polish.

China Glaze Emerald Sparkle is dark without looking black and is very sparkly. Plus the formula’s easy to work with.

This is definitely Old Faithful, but with a whole lot of spunk! Although I like to wear this color anytime, it’s one of my top favorites to wear around Christmas. Reminds me of evergreens.

I’ll tell you more about it in my detailed review, and be sure to check out the swatches! Continue reading

China Glaze Mummy May I Swatches & Review

China Glaze Mummy May I SwatchChina Glaze is one of my favorite nail-polish brands because it’s affordable and they love to experiment will all different colors, not just traditional hues. So it was fine time I reviewed one!

Since we’re approaching Hallowe’en very soon, I thought it was appropriate to do a China Glaze Mummy May I review. It’s a perfectly ghoulish color with bright pinkish-purple square glitter suspended in a blackish base.

Unlike some polishes where the glitter gets lost in the dark base, the glitter here really garners your attention because of the color contrast. This is great for those (like myself) who don’t love polishes that are all black or so near-black that they may as well be black. The glitter spices it up!

China Glaze Mummy May I gets extra points for being unique. In my 230+ nail-polish collection, I don’t have anything like it! Come see some swatches and find out more about the polish formula. Continue reading
