Bath & Body Works Fresh Picked Blackberries Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap Review & Pictures

Bath & Body Works Fresh Picked Blackberries Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap Review & PicturesFirst thing’s first. I want to say that my thoughts and prayers go out especially to those on the east coat who are experiencing the worst of Sandy, the hurricane-turned-post-tropical-cyclone. Please be safe!

Here in Canada, we experienced strong winds and some rain. One woman was killed by a falling Staples sign, and I saw news footage of a large tree collapsing onto a house in the Beaches! Thousands of people in the Greater Toronto Area have experienced power outages. Sandy isn’t playing around!

In the wake of crazy environmental conditions terrorizing so many and worrying about my neighbours south of the border, I feel like this product review is unimportant. But, unless I lose electricity, the Swatch And Learn show will go on…

Edit: I ended up losing power last night, and it was literally a few seconds after I scheduled this post for today! The power came back on this morning, and the wind has died down here. We didn’t experience the degree of the storm like the Americans. My heart goes out to all of you who are feeling the effects of it!

Today I have a review on the Bath & Body Works Fresh Picked Blackberries Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap.

Slatkin & Co. Fireside Candle Review & Pictures

Slatkin-Co-Fireside-Candle-Review-PicturesEver since I purchased the Slatkin & Co. Fireside Candle, I’ve been waiting for a cold night to test out this candle. Finally it’s getting colder, so I happily burned this.

In the past, I’ve had my doubts about the Fireside scented candle. Many times I would go into the Bath & Body Works store, pop off the lid, and give it a snifferoo.

I thought it was gross, but lots of people loved it, and they told me that it smells better when burned than it does cold.

Now that I’ve tried it, what do I think? Is it a candle that I’ll be turning to time and time again? Or is this one better left on the shelf?

P.S. It feels like it’s been a long time since my last candle review, doesn’t it? Originally I had ordered the Pumpkin Cupcake candle (along with tons of other candles) during the Labour Day website sale when I found a 30% off your order coupon code that could be stacked on top of the 2 for $20 USD candle deal. The Canadian dollar was strong, so it turned out to actually be a really good deal.

But…then Bath & Body Works supposedly sent a damaged package, so Puralator refused the package at their facility and sent it back. I’m now debating whether or not to replace the order.

After waiting so long and then finding out the bad news, I’m reluctant to replace it. Maybe I’ll just go to the store and hope they have the Pumpkin Cupcake candle in stock now. We’ll see…

Anyway, so if some of you who I promised that a Pumpkin Cupcake candle review was coming soon are wondering what the hold-up is, this is the reason for the massive delay. I do plan on purchasing that candle, though, so a review on it is forthcoming…just not as soon as I would’ve liked.

Bath & Body Works Brew Berry Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap Review & Pictures

Bath-Body-Works-Brew-Berry-Foaming-Hand-Soap-Review-PicturesTime’s flying by so fast! I can’t believe that it’s going to be October soon. And Hallowe’en will be right around the corner. It’s my favourite holiday!

Today I’m reviewing the only Hallowe’en product I’ve bought this year so far – Bath & Body Works Brew Berry Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap.

Are you a fan of Hallowe’en? Will you be dressing up or having a party? Are you going trick-or-treating?

I still remember my trick-or-treating days. My best friend and I would hit up this one neighbourhood where it seemed like everyone gave out full-sized chocolate bars. To a kid, it was like hitting the candy jackpot!

And in that neighbourhood, people would realllllly get into the Hallowe’en spirit. There was one house that always had a whole display on their front lawn, including a tent where kids could go through and see things like ‘eyeballs’ in bowls and ‘intestines’ on plates. They’d also play spooky music and wear creepy get-ups like bloody surgeons or headless waiters!

I also remember one time, this guy who went to our school and who was a few years older than us, tried to steal our candy. He literally grabbed our bags, but I wasn’t having it. After all, we had spent literally 2 hours going door-to-door. I wasn’t going to let this punk just take away our hard work for being a jerk.

So I grabbed my bag and my friend’s bag back and yelled at him sternly to get his own and to pick on someone his own size. While that could’ve been a foolish move that ended with a black eye, surprisingly, he was taken off-guard by that and didn’t say anything or bother us. He wasn’t used to kids standing up to him, I suppose.

Bath & Body Works Tropical Sorbet Float Anti-Bacterial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap Review & Pictures

Bath-Body-Works-Tropical-Sorbet-Float-Hand-Soap-Review-PicturesBefore summer’s officially over, I had to review the Bath & Body Works Tropical Sorbet Float Anti-Bacterial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap. *Gasps for air* Long name!

(This was one of the soaps that I mentioned in my Haul of Shame post not long ago.)

I haven’t heard much about this scent, so imagine my surprise when I randomly sniffed this one and was smitten!

It’s always great to have pleasant surprises like this. Haha, unfortunately, I usually have bad luck and smell things in that store that make my nose crinkle.

My nose is filing a case against me as I type this. 😉

Bath & Body Works Orchard Walk Gentle Anti-Bacterial Foaming Hand Soap Review & Pictures

Bath-Body-Works-Orchard-Walk-Hand-Soap-Review-PicturesWhen the Bath & Body Works store near me had an amazing 8 for $25 CAD sale that I blogged about before in my Haul of Shame post, I couldn’t resist adding the Bath & Body Works Orchard Walk Gentle Anti-Bacterial Foaming Hand Soap to my shopping bag.

(One of my dear readers, Becca, asked me to review this soap first. I was more than happy to oblige!)

Despite it being green, this packaging isn’t usually what I gravitate toward when I go for my usual go-in-and-smell-everything trips to Bath & Body Works. (Normally anything with a bakery picture gets my attention.)

But, since this was a scent that I think is new, I didn’t want to overlook it in case it was something amazing. And thank goodness I gave it a try.

Find out why I recommend this hand soap!

Haul of Shame: Bath & Body Works Hand Soaps

Bath & Body Works Haul Hand SoapOn Friday, a couple of my friends and I met up at the mall after work and did a little shopping.

Of course we couldn’t resist heading into the Bath & Body Works store! 😉

I picked up a bunch of Bath & Body Works Hand Soaps – most of them were new fall scents. It helped that they were having the best deal I’ve ever seen on their soaps: 8 hand soaps for just $25 CAD! (Not sure how long that deal was on, but it’s no longer running. Sorry!)

And I was extremely tempted to buy the Bride of Frankenstein’s Monster mini candle holder! It would totally go with the one I bought last year of Frankenstein’s Monster! But…I didn’t leave with it…partially because I had tons of other heavy shopping bags to carry already and partially because I may just wait for it to inevitably go on sale.

I also was looking for the Pumpkin Cupcake candle that’s new for this fall. It sounds like it could be really yummy-smelling because it combines two of my favourite scents. However, my local store didn’t have it in stock yet. Hopefully it’ll be out for the Labour Day sale! I want to get that and the Bonfire Maplewood candle!

Come see the soaps I got in greater detail! Feel free to request reviews on the ones that interest you most, and I’ll try to use and then review those ones first.

Slatkin & Co. Autumn Candle Review & Pictures

Slatkin-Co-Autumn-Candle-Review-Pictures-Bath-Body-WorksIt’s been a very long time since I’ve reviewed a candle on here. And although I know many of you prefer to see nail-polish reviews, I really love candles and need to review this one – Slatkin & Co. Autumn Candle!

I’ve had it stashed away in my closet since last year…sheesh! And now they’ve come out with a new  graphic for the front of the candle.

Although the summer was my favourite season for years, the fall quickly took first place in the past couple of years. I love everything about it – the crisp air, Hallowe’en, and being able to wear sweater dresses with knee-high boots.
