When the Rescue Beauty Lounge Blogger 2.0 Collection was available for pre-order, I was right on it! Among the shades I purchased was this vampy beauty – Rescue Beauty Lounge Fashion Polish!
Sure, you may still be thinking about neons, flip flops, and pool parties, but you can sport dark wonders like this even before the mercury rises.
I don’t have too much diversity in my collection when it comes to black nail polish. None of them have multi-coloured glitter, which is why I opted for this – thought it was way more interesting than your typical black-and-silver-glitter nail polish.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Fashion Polish Review
Colour
Fashion Polish by Rescue Beauty Lounge is one tough polish to photograph, but I assure you that the multicoloured glitter that you see in the bottle does show up on the nail. It’s definitely more subtle on the nail, but you can see it.
The base is black, and I could see gold, magenta, and green glitter sprinkled throughout. The glitter is what takes this black nail polish from ordinary to extraordinary.
It always gets my interest when a polish has a sombre base, but cheerful top notes – artistic!
This spectacular shade was designed by blogger, Sam of Fashion Polish! Wow, what an amazing honour and great experience that must’ve been to collaborate with Rescue Beauty Lounge. That sounds like a dream come true!
Finish
This is a creme polish with some glitter. It’s not gritty, but I noticed a little bit of texture. After you apply a top coat, it becomes as smooth as glass.
Application & Formula
I was surprised that Fashion Polish by Rescue Beauty Lounge had a thicker formula. It got a bit thicker as I was using it, too, so I think the next time I use it, I’ll be adding some nail-polish thinner.
The thicker consistency made applying the polish trickier than usual, so if you get a bottle like this with a thicker formula, just add some thinner to make it easier on yourself. (Hehe, but I’m a bit stubborn. The first time I wear a nail polish, I like to wear it unadulterated because I want to see how the original formulation is like.)
I loved how pigmented it was. I think this is a one-coater! However, I still added a second out of habit.

Final Verdict: 8/10
Rescue Beauty Lounge Fashion Polish is a great polish that’s pigmented and vampy. I think that it’s really edgy, but the glitter brings some light to the overall look.
Have you purchased any shades in the Rescue Beauty Lounge Blogger 2.0 Collection? Do you have a favourite black nail polish? If you could collaborate with any nail-polish company, which would it be and why?
So starry-sky like 🙂 very pretty!

Hey Raina!
Yes, indeed – like a gothic sky enchanted with a magical potion!
I do have a few black + gliter polishes, but I have to say my hands down favorite is Orly Androgynie. It’s a jelly, but it’s opaque enough to wear on its own in three coats. And the glitter in it is fantastic- it’s like galaxy nails without the effort of sponging them on! I rarely buy spares of things, but after wearing Androgynie a couple of times I immediately snapped up a spare of it.

Hey Fedoraharp!
I almost bought Orly Androgynie because it looks spectacular in the bottle. But one of my friends said that the black base in hers covered the glitter. She must’ve got a bad batch! Darn – now I wish I would’ve picked one up and taken the risk. It was so beautiful!
I would be happy to send you one! It’s still easily available in stores here for about $4.

Wow, that’s such a generous offer! 🙂 I may take you up on it. I’m still going to try to find it here first. If I can’t get hold of it, I’ll know who to contact. Thanks for being so thoughtful!
Very pretty – congrats….I have a lot of glittery blacks that the ‘stuff’ goes into hiding – this one looks like it’s out there for all to see which seems to be hard to do!
Hey Beachgal!
Rescue Beauty Lounge certainly worked their magic and made ‘the impossible’ possible! 🙂 So cool that they collaborated with bloggers again to come up with something special!
So pretty!!! ^_^

Hey Lizzy!
Thank you! 🙂 I loved wearing this. It was a nice change from the brights I’ve been sporting. It’s good to switch it up now and then.
