Quick Look: OPI Infinite Shine Swatches, Photos & Press Release

OPI Infinite Shine SwatchesGel nail polish is pretty popular these days, and maybe you’ll find it surprising, but I’ve never tried any of them! (Have you?)

Now, OPI has come out with their own version – OPI Infinite Shine, and what sets it apart from many others is that it doesn’t require an LED light to cure the polish, and you can just use regular nail-polish remover instead of having to ‘soak off’ the manicure when you’re ready to take it off.

Like a regular gel nail polish, it’s supposed to last for up to 10 days, and it comes in tons of different colours – 30!

When I went to the OPI Hawaii Collection Media Launch, PR was generous to provide me with the nail board of all 30 exciting OPI Infinite Shine shades, as well as the OPI Infinite Shine Primer, OPI Infinite Shine Gloss, and a colourful lacquer, OPI Infinite Shine No Stopping Me Now.

Check out this post to see everything closer, but especially the beautiful swatches. There are so many gorgeous colours, and my top picks are To the Finish Lime!, Withstands the Test of Thyme, and To Infinity & Blue-yond!

OPI Infinite Shine Press Release

OPI Launches a Revolution in Nail Color with
NEW Infinite Shine Gel Effects Lacquer System

“Shine that lasts until removed!”

OPI, the leader in nail color innovation, announces the release of Infinite Shine Gel Effects Lacquer System, offering the rich color, intense shine and lasting wear of gels – without the need for LED-light curing or soak-off removal. Available in 30 new shades (plus Primer base coat and Gloss top coat), Infinite Shine utilizes a three-step system to deliver a high-shine classic creme finish for nails that lasts up to 10 days.

“Infinite Shine was developed to meet consumer demand for a nail lacquer with a gel-like finish that also boasts the exceptional formula, on-trend colors and iconic names for which OPI is best known,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder & Brand Ambassador. “Infinite Shine shades are applied and removed like traditional lacquer, but they provide the high-shine and long-wear typically reserved for gel formulas, for shine that lasts until you take it off!”

Infinite Shine includes a full range of fashion-forward shades ranging from neutrals to bright reds, oranges and pinks to dark gray, blue and black hues: Pretty Pink Perseveres, From Here to Eternity, She Went On and On and On, Girl Without Limits, Running with the In-finite Crowd, Endurance Race to the Finish, No Stopping Me Now, Unrepentantly Red, Unequivocally Crimson, Relentless Ruby, In Pursuit of Purple, Grapely Admired, Can’t Be Beet!,m Raisin’ the Bar, We’re in the Black, Get Ryd-of-thym Blues, Indignantly Indigo, To Infinity & Blue-yond, Withstands the Test of Thyme, To the Finish Lime!, Maintaining My Sand-ity, Tanacious Spirit, TBrains & Bronze, Set in Stone, Never Give Up!, Strong Coal-ition, Steel Waters Run Deep, Staying Neutral, It Never Ends and You Can Count on It.

Infinite Shine is applied via a three-step system; first, apply Infinite Shine Primer (Step 1) to prevent staining and increase lacquer durability. Next, select one of 30 shades (Step 2) and paint two thin, even coats for richly-pigmented, vivid color. Finally, finish with Infinite Shine Gloss (Step 3), which features a state-of-the-art gel polymer formula that cures in natural light. Product can be removed easily with Expert Touch Nail Lacquer Remover; no soaking is required.

Infinite Shine products feature a proprietary formula and each bottle includes OPI’s exclusive ProWide™ Brush for the ultimate in application. OPI Infinite Shine Gel Effects Lacquer System will be available November 3, 2014, at Professional Salons and spas across Canada for $14.95 CAN suggested retail for each nail lacquer.

OPI is guaranteed only when purchased through authorized professional beauty outlets and prestige stores, not from a drugstore, supermarket, mass outlet or other unauthorized source.

      Hey Lizzy!

Haha, I know what you mean. Some people like to wear the same colour for weeks. I like to switch it up, or I’ll get bored of the colour. We’re all different, and that’s the beauty of the nail industry – something for everyone! 🙂

yeah, idk.. I do change my polish almost every day, BUT… I don’t always want to. I pretty much have to because of the job i do.. It’s industrial work and it’s very hard on the ol’ manicure. If this is as easy as regular polish but holds up a lil bit better, i’d say it’s worth a try. 🙂

      Hey Ash!

Wow, that’s very often! I used to change up my manicure every other day or so, but lately I haven’t had as much free time – bummer! So now I tend to wear my manicures for 3-7 days straight.

It would be really interesting for you to test out these OPI Infinite Shine nail polishes because your job requires you to be hard on your nails. I wonder how well they’d hold up! (Please let me know if you try any. I’m curious as to what results you’ll get with them.)

Lovely swatches!!! This is the reason why I so love OPI nail polishes. They have beautiful line of colors that you would not want to miss.

What great colors. Even though they can be applied without a light, I’m still a little leery of “gel” polishes. In the past I have had trouble with them drying out my nails which caused them to peel (and they are prone to peeling anyway). I might have to give these a try, especially the lime green. Thanks for sharing them! 🙂

      Hey Melissa!

I’ve never tried any gel polishes just because they promise to last for so long, but I usually switch up my manicure more often. These would be great for toenails! Maybe they’d motivate me to paint my toenails more often!

      Hey Lara!

I haven’t worn that top coat yet. However, it doesn’t seem to be marketed as a quick-drying top coat, so it probably dries like a regular top coat. If I end up wearing it, I’ll be sure to review it on here! Sorry that I couldn’t be of more help.

use opi drip dry drops and they are mostly dry after 15 mins and totally dry in 30 . I am normally a gel wearer as a professional but thought as would give these a try during lock downtown recommendations to clients. I am impressed 8 days wear even through gardening

It’s less of a gel and more of a long lasting nail polish. It definately does not last 10 days, but a bit longer than regular nail polish.
I have been using the base, then use a regular nail polish (it would suck to have to build a new collection!!) and then too it with the infinate shine gloss. To speed up drying time I throw on a fast drying top coat and I’m good for almost the full week.
    Try it out!

      Hey Dena!

Aww, bummer to hear that it doesn’t last 10 days, but then again, I never wear any polish for that long. Before I started blogging, I used to wear manicures for two weeks straight, but not anymore. I enjoy trying out new colours often.

      Thanks for the tip!

      Hey Ivy!

      That’s a good question!

Hmm…OPI Race Red from the Ford Mustang Collection comes immediately to mind, but I have no idea if it’s available as a gel. Sorry that I can’t be of more help!
