Pretty Serious Rae’s Rainbow is a limited-edition multicoloured glitter lacquer that’s like the Spice Girls reuniting and performing their greatest hits on your nails.
Perky and punctuated with personality, it’s flashy like a funhouse!
Although you could wear Pretty Serious Rae’s Rainbow on its own and build up the coverage with more layers, I decided to put it over Pretty Serious Pookie, which was the manicure I was already sporting.
How can you not feel happy when your nails are supercharged with a supernova? 😉
I purchased this nail polish when it was still available. Unfortunately, it’s discontinued now, but I still wanted to share it, since you never know if it’ll be re-released. *Fingers crossed*
P.S. There’s still time to enter my Canadian Hard Candy Nail-Polish Giveaway for your chance to get 12 lacquers! (Ends November 13, 2015 at 11:59 pm EST)

Pretty Serious Rae’s Rainbow Review
Colour
Rae’s Rainbow by Pretty Serious has a translucent-blue base, which reminds me a lot of the colour of the beautiful ocean. Then, sprinkled like confetti throughout are small blue glitters and larger hexagonal sequins in blue, purple, red, orange, fuchsia, and yellow.
For those who can’t decide on a single shade to rock, this will fill the void!
Finish
Since the base is sheer and almost jelly-like, it allows the glitter to shine through without getting subdued.
The finish was smooth and not overly sharp or gritty, and especially when you slick on a top coat, the overall appearance is glass-like.
Application & Formula
I was very surprised that Rae’s Rainbow by Pretty Serious was so smooth and easy to paint with. Normally nail polishes that contain bigger pieces of glitter can get thick and glue-like very easily, making them harder to get a smooth look on the nail.
I didn’t have to use a dabbing motion at all! The formula went on like a dream, and if you need to disperse a cluster of glitter that collects in one spot, moving them around by sweeping the brush in the area slightly is very effective.
Since the polish has a sheer base, you can layer it (like I did over a blue), but even if you wear two or more coats, you can build up the opacity and wear it solo. (I prefer layering glitter, so that it’ll be easier to remove later.)
Ingredients
Rae’s Rainbow by Pretty serious is formulated without Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DBP, or Toluene.
Animal-Friendliness
This nail polish is vegan and cruelty-free.

Add a ‘bounce in your step’ to your manicure or pedicure, or breathe life into an existing nail look when you layer Pretty Serious Rae’s Rainbow on top!
What glitter nail polish do you wear to create ‘happy nails’? Would you wear this solo or layered? What’s a discontinued nail polish you own and love?
This is such a fun glitter! My favorite glitter right now would have to be I Can See Them, Too by Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer

Hey Sasha!
Ooohh, I don’t have that glitter in my stash. Going to Google it to check it out!
Very pretty polish! It was a great idea to pair it with Pookie. Looks great on you Mary! Thanks for sharing!
Hey Melissa!
Pookie is gorgeous all on its own, but I definitely couldn’t resist the urge to “glitterify” it! 😉
