OPI Joins Joie for New York Fashion Week

OPI Hits the Catwalk for Joie New York Fashion Week 2013Since the last time I blogged about OPI’s involvement in New York Fashion Week was well-received, here’s another little press release you might enjoy.

OPI Joins Joie for New York Fashion WeekΒ with Big Apple Red and Black Onyx!

Do you own either of those colours? I only have Black Onyx, and I’ve used it in the past for a lot of nail art (especially for creating pupils).

Okay, maybe I have a highly active imagination, but in this photo, for some reason, the hand looks like it doesn’t belong to the model. It looks like there’s some creepy zombie reaching up to touch the model’s face. Doesn’t it? Okay…maybe I just shouldn’t compose blog posts really late at night… πŸ˜‰

Official press release sent to me by PR:

February 15, 2013 – We’re excited to announce that OPI joined LA-based brand Joie for its first presentation at New York Fashion Week today!

For the show, a gallery space was transformed into an elegant banquet with flowers, candelabras and champagne. The Parisian chic theme of the space and clothing was highlighted through the nails as well. Models wore OPI nail lacquer in Big Apple Red on nails and Black Onyx on toes.

Do any of the outfits interest you?

I love the grey and black sweater and the exaggerated black eye liner on the model getting her nails painted!

I agree with you that it can’t be the models hand! The angle is wrong and she’s so petite and the hand isn’t. Zombie for sure! πŸ˜‰

I like the combination of red classical nails on the hands and black toenails. And I’ve really started to like houndstooth pattern lately (not looking like a old lady) but with young and modern models of clothes. I’ve seen some cool dresses and pantyhose’s which have looked great (not together though of cause). But yet they’ve not reached normal stores of what I’ve seen.

      Hey Gelic’ Nail Art!

Hahaha, zombieeeessss are invading New York Fashion Week! πŸ˜‰

I’m with you on the houndstooth. I think it can look really modern and funky when paired with the right things. Gone are the days when they’re only for the prim and proper.

      Hey Nageldraken!

Hahaha, okay, so it looks like it wasn’t just the late hour I wrote that blog post. That model better be careful for the living and the dead wanting a piece of the latest fashion! πŸ˜› Hahaha!
