Weird. I was looking through my nail polishes and found Nubar Liquid Metals Collection Precarious Lavender. It’s a color that I haven’t worn before, and I don’t even remember purchasing it! Isn’t it great when you find gems that you own? It’s like finding money in between the seat cushions.
I’m not sure how I could’ve forgotten to try this pretty pale purple with a metallic finish. I think it’s absolutely gorgeous. I’m usually impressed with Nubar nail polishes, and this one’s no exception. However, this one doesn’t secure a perfect status in my eyes though. Find out why!

Nubar Precarious Lavender Review
Note: Please excuse the bandage. 😛
Nubar Precarious Lavender is a beauty – there is nothing precarious about that. The color is a sweet rosy purple that looks super romantic. And it has a veil of satiny metallic finish that adds to the interest of the pretty color. This shade pairs very well with a delicate look, but it can also contrast a bolder outfit. Me likey.
And the formula of the Nubar Precarious Lavendar nail polish is quite excellent. There is no gunk, no goop, no slop or anything undesirable when it comes to the consistency. Drank lots of caffeine during the day? Not to worry. Even those with unsteady hands can apply it without issues – it basically levels itself out for an even finish on the nails.
Another positive characteristic that I must note is that Nubar Liquid Metal Precarious Lavender dries very fast. Even after just a few minutes, it doesn’t feel tacky at all and I already feel safe putting on another coat or a top coat.
I was actually expecting it to be quite sheer, but wrong I was. You might be able to get away with applying just one coat of Precarious Lavender by Nubar. But I put on two anyway… just out of habit.
Now, what don’t I like about it? Well, it looks slightly streaky…although I kind of expected it to be since it’s a light-colored metallic shade. I just thought that Nubar might have come out with a miracle formula that makes Nubar Precarious Lavender nail lacquer not have that streaky finish. Even still, it’s not terrible.

Final Verdict: 9.1/10
I’m usually not into soft shades on my nails, but I like Precarious Lavender. I think it looks sweet without being sickly delicate.
What do you think of the color? Have you tried other shades from the Liquid Metals Collection? Let me know!
