Nail Art: Alien Cow Nails

Cow Nails Nail Art SwatchesHello! I’d like to introduce you to Mr. Moo!

Let’s all say, “How are you, Mr. Moo?” 😛

I don’t really drink milk except with my cereal, but I love eating cheese and ice cream…just not together.

So, my way of saying thank you to all the cows out there for producing milk was through Alien Cow Nail Art!

In university, one of my classmates was obsessed with cows to the point where she always had to buy any clothing that had cartoon cows on them! And she was so proud that every single pair of socks she owned featured cow prints!

I like cows, but apparently not nearly as much as she did!

Do you like cows? Are you lactose-intolerant? Do you sometimes feel the urge to say “Moo!” to strangers?

Edit: Apparently they’re supposed to be giraffe heads, but they totally remind me more of cow heads because of the shape.

Hehe, so I changed this to “Alien Cow Nails” since they look like cows with antennae! :p

If you decide to replicate this, you may want to remove the horns to be more accurate! Or…you can just have fun like I did! 😀

Konad Image Plate s10 Review (Cow)

The cow image was small, but really easy to pick up and stamp with. The only part was the ball on the horns that didn’t transfer well, but I think it was more my fault. I don’t know why I’m always rushing when I’m stamping! Well, maybe it’s because I get really excited and happy when I’m Konading! 😛 Or…maybe I’m just a sloppy Konader. Doesn’t bother me.

I thought that the cow print would be so cute with the Konad cow face. The cow print was easy to pick up, and it transferred well. Just try to apply even pressure as you roll the stamper onto your nails or you’ll get smudging like mine.

Love the s10 plate, my personal fave. I always thought it was a cow, too, but recently someone told me it must be a giraffe since cows don’t have those ball things on top of their horns. Anyway, cute konadicure! 🙂

      Hey Carmela!

Ahahaah…I thought it might be a giraffe, but I used it anyway! Reminded me more of a cow because of the nose and face shape. I guess I should’ve removed the horns on the head. Or maybe they’re alien cows since they have antennae! 😛 Or they might be cow-giraffe hybrids! (I’m gonna change the name of this post to “Alien Cow Nails” :P)

Hahaha, ikr?? They do look like giraffe/cow hybrids! And giraffes are still spotted, so it all works out too. 😀

Had I realized initially that they were weird giraffes, hehe, I would’ve used orange and brown as the colors. Oh well, alien cow works! 😛 (Thanks for letting me know. Maybe I’ll use this image again and do giraffe nails!)

      Hey Ruthe!

Thanks so much for saying all that! 🙂 Made my day…especially since I goofed up and thought it was the wrong animal…haha!

Awww…great job….love your ‘Aliens’! Way back, my aunt had a small cart in Boston’s Faneuil Hall that sold all cow stuff that she made: cow ornaments were my favorite (think those glass ball type ornaments painted white with black cow spots, complete with teeny udders!) and she also had things like hair scrunchies (hey it was the 90’s 🙂 ), tshirts, etc. I bet your classmate would’ve loved it. Your nails remided me of that….so cute!!

      Hey Maribeth!

Haha, glad you liked my cow aliens. 😛

OMG – my friend would’ve LOVED to find one of those cow ornaments! Seriously, she mainly just ‘collected’ clothing with cow pictures/prints, but if I showed her a cow ornament, it would’ve blown her mind. And then maybe she’ll just end up collecting EVERYTHING cow-inspired! 😛 Could be dangerous!

Oh yeah! I remember those scrunchies. All the cool girls wore ’em, so of course I begged my mom to buy them for me!

      Hey Katie!

      Thanks! 😀

Me, too! Alien cows are…out of this world. *Groan* 😛

I’ll have to do giraffe nail art soon. I swear I passed kindergarten! 😛

      Hey Marta!

      Aww…you’re making me blush! 😀

Yeah, today was a real scorcher – almost 50 degrees Celsius! Just 2 seconds outside and I felt like I was the Wicked Witch of the West melting! I love hot weather, but even this was too much for me.

Haha…mooooore and mooooore ice cream! 😛 I love your sense of humour and ability to be silly without worrying about what others might say. Sometimes it’s all about having fun in the moment. 😀

P.S. Did you end up getting your ice cream?

This STOLE my heart!! Soooo adorable, even if they are mutant cows….lol They look great….I could never do that. I usually stick to gradient sponging, scraped designs(I did a TOTD of that on my blog), water marbles and drag marbles! Boring me. But great job.

      Hey Jessica!

Haha, I’m glad that you liked these mutant cows. At first I felt embarrassed that I mistook a giraffe head for a cow head, but in the end it works out well because they do look more like cows with antennae to me. And looks like I’m not alone in thinking weird thoughts like that…hahahaha!

Ooohhh…gradient sponging and water marbling is SO not boring! I want to try some of those techniques soon. They always look so intricate and beautiful.

P.S. And you COULD do this design, too! I actually think that water marbling and gradient sponging takes more effort and skill than stamping! You should try it!

That’s so funny! They are supposed to be giraffe heads? They still look like alien cows to me! I like thinking that better, so that’s what they are in my world, lol. It is a really cute manicure. I love it!

      Hey Michelle!

Yeah, giraffe heads. I’m glad that you also have fun and agree with me that they look more like alien cows. Looks like I’m not losing my marbles after all. 😛 Or maybe we all are! *Dun dun dunnnn* 😛

Glad you like it. I’m thinking up some more wacky manicures to do.

Wow, how did you find out that they are supposed to be giraffes? I always thought they are cows and when I told my friends they all agreed.
    Best wishes!

      Hey Klaine!

Another Swatch And Learn reader (Carmela) pointed it out to me.

Giraffes have those balls on top of their heads, and cows don’t. Hehe…but I feel better now that a lot of other people also seem to think that they were cows. I think it’s because the face is shaped more like a cow than a giraffe, but it has horns like a giraffe instead of a cow.

It’s a confused animal…so an alien cow is probably the most accurate. 😛 At least that’s what I keep telling myself…

I love the cows!! Aliens or not! My kitchen is done in black & white cowhide, with red bandana accents! So this gives me an idea!! Thanx for the fun! 🙂

Haha, glad that you still enjoyed it. In the end, my manicure turned out quirky, and I loved wearing it! 🙂

If you take photos of the manicure (if you decide to paint it), please share your photo with me. I’d love to see. It sounds really fun!
