When it comes to eyeliner (my #1 must makeup product), I usually go with pencils – they’re super easy to apply, easy to perfect, easy to smudge and easy to get creative.
But when I saw the GOSH Extreme Art Eye Liner in Olive Green, I just had to have it. It’s such a nice shade – deep enough to not be wild, yet bright enough to have impact. Plus, it has a slight sparkly shimmer to it. Oh, the depth of this color! Not to mention: it’s “Extremely Waterproof.” Yes, you read that right – EXTREMELY.
So how did it fare? Good! The GOSH Cosmetics Extreme Art Eye Liner has me rethinking liquid eyeliners.

The Review
Any makeup that can last through my intense cardio workouts and weight training sessions is good in my books. Even through all the sweat and heat, this GOSH eye liner doesn’t budge. And no smudging throughout the day, either. I’m always happy to see that there are no green circles under my eyes at the end of the day when I wear this liner! It really is extreme.
But with extreme stay-putness comes some sacrifice. The reason why this liner stays on so well is because when it dries, it turns into this cakey substance. Don’t get me wrong – there’s no discomfort at all. In fact, I wouldn’t know it feels hard when dried if I didn’t rub my eyes. (I was testing just how smudge-proof this liner is.)
There are two problems with this. 1.) When it dries, the formula sort of seeps into the fine lines on your eyes emphasizing them. It kind of gives this scaly appearance. 2.) This cakey substance flakes, but not on its own. It only started doing that when I intentionally tried to flake it off.
And Extreme Art it is. Maybe it does take an artist to weld this eyeliner correctly. I say this because I find the brush to be a bit tough to handle at first. I expected the bristles to be slightly stiffer. I’m still getting used to it, but even with this learning curve, I’m able to draw a precise line with the thickness that I want. It just takes more time. Maybe this liner will turn me into an artiste!
And for some reason, I keep getting it in my eyelashes. Although on the GOSH website, they actually suggest using it “on the outer layer of the eyelashes […] for a super funky look.”

Final Verdict: 7.5/10
This Gosh Extreme Art Eyeliner has its problems, but I still like it a lot. There are so many different colors available, and all are so intense! Plus, it stays put, is waterproof and doesn’t smudge throughout the day.
Oh, and another cool thing from their site: you can use the eyeliner for nail art!
