My nails are a simple white to black ombrรฉ today, but I think my favorite set inspired by your site were my ‘Franenstein’ monster nails from October. Thanks for blogging!

    Yesss I’m so excited!!!!! =D

I’ve just recently gotten into nail art, and I don’t have a konad kit yet!! I’ve been using a cruddy old eyeshadow brush that I cut up as a striper, so my methods have been pretty primitive thus far. I’m so excited to try new designs, it’s such a fun form of self expression!!! I recently tried out cutepolish’s Van Gogh starry night design on my ring finger, it turned out great!!! So happy I found this blog, can’t wait to try out some of your nail art designs!!! My favorite plate is #M51 =)

OK, so I just took off OPI’s Fly last night… fair warning if you buy it: It stains like a mother lol. Holy cow, I have never had such bad stains in my life! And I used my normal, go-to base coat that has never failed me (Orly Rubberized Base). It makes me sad because the color is so pretty! But it stained my whole nail! Yikes! :p

I like plate #M47. I have M46, and need the second half of the alphabet!

I don’t have Fly, hmm…and I may not get it. Polishes that stain really badly usually are ones I don’t reach for more than once.

But…if you wear it again, maybe you can try doubling (or tripling) up on the base coat. (Then again, I had a nail-staining incident with Orly Bonder before and it was with another Orly polish on top!)

I just had to add to your comment about Fly… YES ISN’T IT CRAZY!?!? I think I actually forgot to wear base coat when I was swatching it, but that was weeks and weeks ago and my nails are still stained light blue! Luckily my nails grow fast and they’re just about grown out. It stains like no one’s business!!

      Hey Aliya!

Wow – you changed your manicure SIX times? You DO have patience! Damn! (I’m glad that you found the colour that suited your mood in the end.)

Don’t worry! You can definitely pick up stamping easily. It may take some practice, but you’ll get there. I felt the same way before I got into them. Then I decided to just try it and see if it was as simple as everyone said it was. IT WAS! ๐Ÿ™‚ And once you start, it’s hard to stop. ๐Ÿ˜‰

As far as stamping goes what are your favorite non special polish do you use. I only have a few that stamp good and I want to know if there is something to look for in a polish that makes the stamp come put better. As for favorite plate I like M30 with the animals on it. I’m sure my son would love to see all the animals on my nails!!

      Hey Sarah!

Actually, I don’t use many non-Konad Special Nail Polishes when I stamp. But, when I do stamp with something else, it’s usually China Glaze Millennium, which is a silver. It shows up beautifully. But, lots of chrome polishes tend to do the job well if they’re opaque in a single coat.

Also, good polishes to use for stamping tend to have a thicker consistency. I’ve heard about how some people take pigmented polishes and leave them open overnight to thicken them up. (I haven’t tried it, so I don’t know how well it works.)

    Hey Mary!
I am currently drinking some OJ and rocking some fab orange nail polish to go with it (Alluring Amber by Revlon.) I am so bored of winter! I’ve been wearing brights and neons for the past week, wishing for the winter to just end already! I hate Canadian winters, I just wanna go up north, hit up the lake house, go tubing and ride a few roller coasters! AND my hands are a dry mess, i’ve been going through bottles of hand cream like nobody’s business. So yeah, that’s my little winter rant. Haha, hope you enjoyed it?

Thanks for hosting another one of your amazing giveaways. My plate of choice would have to be #M61.

P.S. I hate NailPolishCanada’s new layout. But that’s a whole other rant for another time.

    Love ya!

Haha, I love how you’re matching your nails to your drink! ๐Ÿ˜€ That’s the ultimate!

I’m on the same page as you – the last chapter of winter, please! Although, this winter hasn’t been as brutal as it has been in the past, so I’m thankful for that. Still, I much prefer fall and summer.

Hehe, yes, I enjoyed it. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I actually really enjoy when people go on tangents because I’m not fond of cosines. (That was a nerdy little trigonometry joke…*Groans*) Seriously, though, I like when people go on tangents because that’s when they open up more and you get to see more of their personality. ๐Ÿ™‚

Have you told NailPolishCanada about what you think of their new layout? Maybe they’ll be changing it again…and maybe they’d like to hear feedback so that they can improve.

I am nervous to try nail stamping but it always looks so amazing!

I wish I could mix and match some of the patterns on the stampers to make my own! #M7 has a super cute shoelace design, the star in the middle of #M33 is so pretty, I like the belt on #M9, the full nail square design on #M61… etc. If I had to pick a favourite of the plates that exist I would go with #M79. The clouds are adorable and the polka dots are too!

Yeah, that would be awesome if they came out with a service where you can pick the images you want and then the company engraves it on a plate for you. Hmm…that’s not a bad idea! Wonder if someone will make that happen…

This week has gone on forever and I’ve missed visiting your blog so much because most of the time has been spent working at work and then bringing more work home.

Looks like you’ve been busy, too! Lots of new posts to read and so exciting to see what you’ve discovered!

Konad? Count me in! Okay, yes, I’d be here anyway, but Konad polish has been on my Christmas list since the first time I saw it. I scooted my ample bum right on over to NailPolishCanada and fell in love all over again. That M79 plate is really nice!!

    Hi Mary!
I finally found a magnetic nail polish at some random mall store(icing maybe?) and bought it. I had my eye on the Nails Inc. bottle at Sephora for a while and just couldn’t justify the 16 dollars. I’m SO happy with this one! it works just like the Nails Inc one and I only paid 7 dollars for it. I really like the m59 plate

Usually, I would have something on them, but I have been sick and my last mani started chipping, so I had to take it off. I have a bad habit of peeling them (a huge no-no!) if they are chipping and I don't take them off. But I was too sick to do anything else. Still sick. Boo! (not happy)

What a fun and awesome giveaway. I have the konad stamper and some bundle monster plates but I don’t have any Konad plates. I really like M57 because it has a nice variety of patterns and I love the zebra and the cougar patterns.

I don’t have great nails, they don’t grow very long until they start breaking and peeling but even if they are short they still look better with polish on them. I have become quite the nail polish collector. This week every finger is a different color with white crackle on top.

Aww…it just takes some practice. And I’ve found that designs that involve more ‘blobs’ rather than precise line drawing are easier. Maybe you could try those kind of designs that use more circles and ovals.
