I have been so, so, so excited about this collection. However, a few days ago I started looking around to see if I could find swatches yet and the swatches I found the holo looks really week. Most bloggers who already had their hands in them were pretty disappointed and said they mostly just looked like metallics. So now I’m less excited. Way less excited. I expected a really strong linear holo effect (similar to Layla) but the swatches I saw gave me the sadz. Maybe I’ll like them better in person? I’ve got my eye on the new Color Club halo hues and may buy a couple of them instead.

      Hey Camille!

Aww, I hope that’s not the case. I’ll have to wear them in the sun to find out. I hope they’re not too weak, since I LOVE strong holos!

YES, I’ve also got my eye on the new Color Club Halo Hues! Those ones look STRONG. I’m going to try to buy the full set, plus back-ups for all of them. 🙂

      Hey Maddy!

I agree. The OMG collection had STROOOONNNGGG holos! I miss those kind of holos, but I think these will still be pretty fun to wear.

      Hey Lizzy!

YES – the names are pretty fun. Hehe, “OMG A UFO” made me laugh when I first read the name. You don’t usually see names like that. 🙂

          Hey Elisa T!

Very cool! I have China Glaze Wireless (the top coat that’s supposed to make polishes holographic), but I haven’t tried it yet. Thanks for indirectly reminding me of it! 🙂

Do you hear that soft wailing sound?
Yup, that’s my bank account… crying it’s poor little eyes out knowing I want When Stars Collide, Astro Hot, Infra Red, Strap on your Moonboots and (of course) OMG a UFO… and probably the other ones too 😉

      Hey Joyce!

Hmm…no, I couldn’t hear the soft wailing because the nail polishes were squeeing so loudly at the thought of new family members. 😉 Hehe!

Agree with Camille, was also waiting for China Glaze Hologlam for ages with a lot of anticipation but when I finally saw the swatches, didn’t buy any in the end 🙁 But the Color Club Halo Hues 2013 polishes are great! Strong holos and deeper colors than the 2012 collection….highly recommend! 🙂

      Hey Cal!

You know what? I haven’t looked up swatches yet. Now that you mention your big disappointment, I may have to take a look. I hope that there are some really good ones in the mix, even if some holos are weaker.

YES, I’ve seen the Color Club Halo Hues for this year, and they look AMAZING! I plan to buy 2 full sets because I love how rich and strong the holos are!

Yes, I may still pick some of these Hologlam polishes up, even if they’re not super strong holos – still neat!

Hehe, and I’m waiting for NailPolishCanada.com to get in the Color Club polishes. I keep checking! 🙂

I’m not really excited for this collection anymore. I feel like we’ve been waiting for a really long time for the release and the few swatches I’ve seen don’t impress me. The holo looks really weak and barely there :/ I fell in love with the color club halo hues so my expectations are high. The actual colors look nice but I feel like this collection is going to flop like china glazes really weak duochrome collection. What’s going on CG?!? I’m kind of relieved that I can save my money on this though 🙂

      Hey Frosso!

Aww…that’s sad to hear the holos are weak. I was hoping that they’d be like the old OMGs.

I’ve seen the new Color Club Halo Hues for this year, and I’m loving every single one of them way more than their first set of Halo Hues.

I was also really looking forward to these until I saw the swatches. The holo looks soooo weak 🙁 the color club ones are amazing though, just what I wanted — seeing as I didn’t have any linear holo’s before. It was the first collection that I bought every single color of, both the 2012 and 2013 releases! I think I will only buy the China glaze ones if I can find a really good deal; I just don’t think they are worth $10

      Hey Tam!

Oh no! 🙁 I didn’t see any swatches yet, but now I’m scared to look and be disappointed like a lot of you. I’m hoping that the holo is stronger in person… *Crosses fingers*
