China Glaze Electric Nights Skittle Manicure & Mini Review of 3 Shades

China Glaze Electric Nights Nail ArtWhen I purchased the China Glaze Electric Nights Collection Mini Set about two months ago, I knew that I’d have to wear a manicure featuring more than one shade.

(Sometimes being indecisive about what to wear can lead to a fun nail look!)

This China Glaze Electric Nights Skittle Manicure was the result. (You got a sneak peek of it about three weeks ago on social media.)

Many times when I looked at my nails, I kept thinking, “Nails Just Wanna Have Fun,” sung to the melody of Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! 😉

Today, I show you tons of manicure photos (including bottle shots), and I share mini reviews on each of the colours: Daisy Know My Name? (yellow), DJ Blue My Mind (blue), and Treble Maker (green).

This collection has already been out for some time. (The mini set that I have is trickier to find now, but you should be able to locate the full-size bottles easily.)

P.S. If you like these colours, you’ll want to keep your eagle eye on Swatch And Learn because I’m going to have a fun worldwide giveaway coming up really soon! *Hint hint*

China Glaze Treble Maker Mini Review

China Glaze Treble Maker is a vibrant green that I loved wearing because it looks fresh and summery.

To get full opacity, you’ll need 2-3 coats. (I used 3 because whenever I wear neons or generally bright shades, I tend to use 3 coats.)

The consistency was a little thick, but it wasn’t too stringy. Also, the colour pops on its own without needing a white base. (I wore it solo, which is how I enjoy wearing neons.)

Final Verdict: 9/10

China Glaze Daisy Know My Name? Mini Review

China Glaze Daisy Know My Name? is very bright highlighter yellow that is so fun to wear!

Typical of many yellow nail polishes, this was very streaky. To build it up to the coverage you see in my photos, it required 4 generous coats. However, if you like using a white base, you could probably reach opacity with fewer coats. (I enjoy wearing neons solo, though. Also, I was expecting to use several coats, so I wasn’t turned off by having to paint multiple coats.)

Final Verdict: 7/10

China Glaze DJ Blue My Mind Mini Review

China Glaze DJ Blue My Mind was very opaque, and although I didn’t need to use more than 2 coats to get full coverage, I slapped on a third coat because I wanted to see if it would enhance the colour. (It didn’t really make a significant difference, so you can probably just be content with 2 coats.)

I’ve never worn a blue that I thought was truly neon. Does a neon blue even exist? I feel like I’ve never seen a highlighter blue. Even highlighter markers that are blue aren’t that bright. So, I won’t fault this polish for not burning my retinas.

Final Verdict: 8/10

Which do you prefer: China Glaze Treble Maker, Daisy Know My Name?, or DJ Blue My Mind? What nail look would you come up with using these 3 shades? Have you even seen a neon blue nail polish?

      Hey Melissa!

You’re right – they’d be great for nail art. Plus even wearing them by themselves would be super fun. I could never get tired of bright shades!

I love how those three colors look together. A full mani of any single color wouldn’t look nearly as nice no matter how pretty the color is. This is simply much more fun and the colors actually compliment each other when viewed together like this. Great fun summery manicure!!!

Love these colors together! I recently I think maybe last week or the week before can’t quiet remember bought the entire full size collection myself and I can’t wait to try them out. I’ve never seen an insane blue neon polish either. I hope someone will come up with one though!

      Hey Sasha!

WOW – that’s awesome that you purchased the entire colour! There are so many great shades, and you can combine many of the colours. 🙂

Okay, so it wasn’t just me having a brain fart about neon blues. Hehe! It must be something to do with the pigment. They can make a sky blue and a frosty blue, but I’ve never seen a blue that was really neon.
