Cake It’s a Slice Smoothing Brown Sugar Body Scrub Review & Pictures

Cake It's a Slice Smoothing Brown Sugar Body Scrub Review & PicturesHave you ever used a body scrub before? The Cake It’s a Slice Smoothing Brown Sugar Body Scrub was my first!

I love how most of the ingredients are natural. And I think that this product will appeal to a lot of people because it’s formulated without parabens, mineral oil, petrolatum, and other ingredients.

During the winter, my upper arms can get dry, even when the skin on the rest of my body is fine. So I test-drove this Cake body scrub on just my upper arms to see how well it worked.

Let me tell you more about this Cake body scrub!

Cake Strawberry Shortcake Decadent Bath & Shower Suds Review & Pictures

Cake Strawberry Shortcake Decadent Bath & Shower Suds Review & PicturesDo you remember Strawberry Shortcake? I sure do! When I was a kid, I had Strawberry Shortcake bed sheets, pillow cases, plus a doll, and a comic book.

Like Strawberry Shortcake, her friends were equally dressed in over-the-top cute get-ups, and they had loveable pets at their side.

(I always loved how Strawberry Shortcake’s cat was called Custard. Made me hungry, too!)

It’s perfect that Cake Beauty teamed up with Strawberry Shortcake to celebrate her 30th anniversary. 🙂

I tried the Cake Strawberry Shortcake Decadent Bath & Shower Suds after receiving it as a Christmas gift from my sister-in-law. The scent was wonderfully nostalgic! Let me tell you more!

elf Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets Review & Pictures

elf Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets Review & PicturesThere are a myriad of things that make some people’s faces greasy or sweaty-looking: humid weather, a good workout, or commitment.

But sometimes an oily T-Zone is just due to the nature of your skin type.

For me, in the morning, my face is usually pretty matte, but then as the day goes on, it gets progressively oilier.

These elf Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets are convenient to carry in your purse in case you need to get rid of a bit of mid-day oilies.

Bath & Body Works Iced Gingerbread Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap Review & Pictures

Bath & Body Works Iced Gingerbread Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap Review & PicturesWith the Hello Yellow Sale at Bath & Body Works going on, it seemed like a great opportunity to stock up on hand soap.

I’ve been getting into them more because I love how there are so many different scents to choose from, and they’re anti-bacterial.

Today’s feature is the Bath & Body Works Iced Gingerbread Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap!

With gingerbread in the name, it was hard to resist. Would it smell like actual gingerbread, or would it be more like a ginger cookie?

Let me share my thoughts with you! Continue reading

Bath & Body Works Pearberry Anti-Bacterial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap Review & Pictures

Bath & Body Works Pearberry Anti-Bacterial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap Review & PicturesWhen I was in daycare, I met a girl who always ate the white glue. (I can’t remember her name, so let’s just call her Miranda.)

While the rest of us would use the popsicle sticks to smear the glue onto our art projects, Miranda was using them as spoons to scoop the glue from the bowl and then shovel it down the hatch.

Being curious, I asked her why she ate it, and I told her that it wasn’t food. She didn’t answer and helped herself to more before the daycare workers came and took away the bowl.

Why am I bringing this up? Sometimes I enjoy rambling! Haha…seriously, though, there is a point.

The first time I used the Bath & Body Works Pearberry Anti-Bacterial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap, it smelled so delicious that I wanted to eat it! (Of course I didn’t, though. The Miranda in me was very tempted…) Continue reading

The Best of 2011: Nail Polish, Nail Art, Makeup, Skincare & Fragrance

Swatch And Learn The Best of 2011It’s been quite a year, hasn’t it?

I’ve tried all sorts of new beauty products including nail polishes. And I’ve had tons of fun coming up with nail-art designs!

Now that it’s the last day in 2011, it’s time to reflect upon the year.

I’d like to share with you my Best of 2011 list! I still have a ton of favourites from last year, so these picks are strictly new ones that I’ve blogged about in 2011.

You’ll see it broken down into the following categories: nail polish (duh), nail art (double duh), fragrance, makeup, and skincare. All lists are in no particular order. (It was difficult enough to whittle down my picks for the nail polishes!)

Feel free to click on the links – they’ll take you to the blog post with the swatches, reviews, and tutorial (where appropriate).

Now I’m so curious about what you think!

Is there a lacquer that you feel I sorely missed including? Have you found your Holy Grail facial cleanser? What nail-art design have you worn in 2011 that you would consider wearing again in 2012?

Please weigh in with your picks! We’re all different, but our love for beauty products brings us together. 🙂 Continue reading
