a-england Lady of the Lake Swatches & Review

a-england Lady of the Lake Swatches & ReviewI have a soft spot for holographic polishes. There’s no such thing as being over-the-top when it comes to them. In fact, the louder they ‘roar’, the more I become like a moth, attracted to the light.

a-england is a brand that’s fairly new to me, so I don’t have many polishes by them. However, I’ve always heard nailphiles rave about them, so I knew they were the real deal!

One of the first shades I added to my stash was a-england Lady of the Lake, which is a rich holographic purple.

I wasn’t able to take any photos in the sunlight, but trust me when I say that you can see the rainbow. However, in my other photos in natural light and with my camera’s flash, you get to see its main personality – it’s awesome!

China Glaze So Blue Without You Swatches & ReviewThe China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection features a lot of festive shades to help dress your tips for the holidays.

In the Quick Look post I published a few days ago, I showed you the 6 shades from the collection that I’ll be reviewing in-depth.

It’s a vibrant blue with a foil-like metallic finish that really lights up your nails!

Quick Look: Half of the China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection

China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection Quick LookHere’s a sneak peek at what I plan to do full in-depth review on in future posts!

These are 6 of the 12 shades from the China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection, which I’m pretty excited about. (They were generously provided to me by China Glaze.)

Aside from fall and Hallowe’en collections (they’re my favourites), Christmas ones come in at a close second!

If you’ve follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I already wore China Glaze So Blue Without You. I’ll probably review that one first from the bunch since I’ve already taken photos of my manicure.

Is there another shade that you’d like me to review before the others? Let me know, and I’ll put it near the top of my list! 🙂

Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie 2.0 Swatches & Review

Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie 2.0 Swatches & ReviewI’m excited (and a little nervous) to bring you this review on Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie 2.0 because it has been quite a long time coming!

If you’ve done any research on nail polish online, you’ll no doubt have come across Scrangie, an awesome blogger who I’ve looked up to for years.

Before nail bloggers popped up everywhere, she was already swatching and reviewing lacquers. For this reason, I always consider her blog to be the Mother of All Nail Blogs. And I just can’t help having a Fan Girl Moment whenever she likes a photo on my Instagram…hehe!

She also has a wicked sense of self and style, which I respect and draw a lot of inspiration from. Plus she’s smart and knows how to crack a joke.

I have been very humbled each time she has supported me and my blogging journey, and she is one of the many incredible bloggers in our nail community that you really need to check out!

So when I caught wind that Scrangie would be collaborating with Rescue Beauty Lounge for a second colour (yes, I also have the first one she came out with – reviewed it back in 2011), I just knew I’d buy it.

I didn’t care if she called it “Poopie Canoopie” or “Waka-laka-ding-dong” – I’d get it because I support her, what her blog stands for, and how well she’s representing the nail community! (It’s like icing on the cake that Rescue Beauty Lounge creates top-notch nail-polish formulas!)

So…although I can’t fully do justice to her intricate nail-polish creation, here it goes! *Takes a deep breath* *Doesn’t bite fingernails* 😉

MAC Brush Cleanser Review & Pictures

MAC Brush Cleanser Review & PicturesI’ve been using the MAC Brush Cleanser for several years now, but every time I had a full bottle, I always forgot to photograph it.

Well, this time, right when I got it, I snapped photos of it immediately, so I wouldn’t forget.

I haven’t tried a lot of brush cleansers on the market, but this is my favourite, despite it being pricey.

And sometimes when I’ve been in a pinch, I’ve used just simple dish detergent and water to clean my brushes. However, I really prefer the MAC Brush Cleanser because it also disinfects as it cleanses. Plus you can use it for spot cleaning, which I do more often than deep cleansing. (Spot cleaning is when you put some on the brush and wipe the makeup off onto a paper towel and then use your brush again quickly).

Blog News: Swatch And Learn on BundleMonster.com

A little while back, Bundle Monster reached out to me and asked if I’d like to be featured on their public-relations page. Of course I wanted to because they’re a company I fully support and have really enjoyed collaborating with – what an honour! And they also promised to give full credit for the photo used at the bottom of the page.

They asked a few other bloggers, and chose some.

Well, I received the news just last week that they selected mine (the Chalkboard Nail Art I’ve showed you on here before) to showcase along with some other talented women! You can just imagine how loud I squealed when I read the e-mail!

Below is a screenshot, but you can click on the images below, which are linked to Bundle Monster’s PR page.

OPI Visions of Love Swatches & Review

OPI Visions of Love Swatches & ReviewOPI Visions of Love from the Mariah Carey Holiday Collection is deep and dark. The formula is glossy and rich, as you can see!

It’s not the typical nail polish I reach for, but there are times when I’m really craving something mysterious like this.

Remember Mariah Carey’s song, Vision of Love? It’s still one of my all-time favourites from her. I really love classic Mariah when she really belted it out and showed off her vocal prowess.

Do you have a favourite album or song by the songbird? Who would you love to see her collaborate with? I can picture a really interesting tune evolving if she parntered with Christina Aguilera.
