OPI Neon Revolution Mini Set Swatches, Review & Pictures

OPI Neon Revolution Swatches & ReviewJust a couple of days ago, you saw that I posted the press release on this OPI Neon Revolution Mini Set!

Well, today, I have an in-depth review and tons of swatches to share with you.

This will be a little different than usual. Normally, I review one shade in a separate post. However, since most people who are interested in this set will be buying it for all the colours and not just one, I think it makes more sense to show you them together. (Hehe, plus I wanted an excuse to wear a skittle manicure. Not that I needed one!) 😉

OPI recommends that you wear 1 coat of the OPI White Base, 2 coats of colour, and then a clear top coat.

In this post, I’ll show you a skittle manicure with all these colours using OPI’s suggested application method. But, you’ll also see what 1 coat of the OPI White Base looks like on its own and just the colours without the white base. I’ll also show you what a single coat of colour looks like over the white base.

It’s going to be pretty picture-heavy because of all the combinations, but I think it’ll help you make a better decision whether you like it or not.

OPI Announces Two New Floral Avojuice Hand & Body Lotions Press Release & Promo Pictures

OPI Avojuice Peony & Poppy Violet Orchid Hand & Body LotionThere have been lots of press releases on Swatch And Learn lately, but don’t worry – I’ll have a review and nail-polish swatches starting Monday.

This weekend was just a special one where I continued blogging despite my usual Monday-to-Friday schedule because I had so many press releases to share and didn’t want to save them for next week. 🙂

In today’s press release, I share with you the 2 brand new OPI Avojuice Hand & Body Lotions – Peony & Poppy and Violet Orchid!

PR was generous to not only send me the press release, but also actual samples. So I’ll be reviewing those as soon as possible.

I’ve actually only tried one OPI Avojuice before because a co-worker gave me a little bottle. So I’m excited to try these new scents!

OPI Neon Revolution Mini Set Press Release & Promo Picture

OPI Neon Revolution Press Release & Promo PictureOkay, so with my new blogging schedule of Monday through Friday, some of you may be surprised to see a post on Saturday.

Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of press releases for nail polishes, and instead of saving them for next week, I thought I’d keep this lacquer train chugging along so that starting Monday, I can start showing swatches and a review. 🙂

Today’s press release is on the OPI Neon Revolution Mini Set!

Mini sets are really adorable because the bottles are so small. There’s 3.75 mL of product in each bottle. And I love how collectible they are.

I also love using mini polishes on my toenails (the rare time I paint them). My feet are women’s size 5, and I have small toes. The tiny brush in a mini bottle is the perfect size for ‘Cinderella feet’. (‘Cinderella feet’ is how my dad used to describe my pedal pushers.) 😉

OPI’s PR was generous to send me this mini set, so expect to see a review on it in the near future.

China Glaze Sunsational Collection Press Release & Promo Pictures

China Glaze Sunsational Collection Press Release & Promo PicturesAs we get a taste of warm weather, I can’t help but start craving summer even more.

Although the fall is my number-one favourite season (because of the fashion, food, and beauty products), summer comes in at a close second.

Living in Canada, our winters can sometimes feel like forever, and I’m just not built for the harsh cold. My body would thrive somewhere sunny and warm (like California)!

So when the summer rolls by, I soak it up and enjoy every moment.

In today’s post, I’ll share the China Glaze Sunsational Collection.

If you’ve been following Swatch And Learn, you will have seen that I’ve already reviewed a few of the cremes from this collection. I actually bought the entire creme set, and I plan to review them all. I’ll include links to the ones I’ve reviewed, and I’ll update the page as I continue to review the rest.

Nail Art Tutorial: Owl Nails

Nail Art Tutorial Owl NailsIt has been a long time since I did freehand nail art with eyes (hehe), and you know what? I missed it so much! (There’s something really fun about looking at your nails and having them look back at you. Or maybe that’s just me.)

As you know, I’m on Pinterest (it’s so addictive!), and the minute I saw these cute little owls, I knew I had to recreate them on my nails. It was exactly the inspiration I needed to get cracking! Release the Kraken! (Felt like saying that.)

Whether it’s nail art, lunch bags, necklaces, or artwork, I have a thing for owls!

So, for today’s post, I have an Owl Nail Art Tutorial for you with step-by-step written instructions and photos.

Although I used similar colours like in the original design I was inspired by, mine turned out slightly different because of my nail-painting style. Also, I have narrower nail beds. But, this just shows you that you can recreate any look, even if your nails are small. Where there’s a will, there’s a way! 😉

I think it’s important to remember that when recreating a look, it doesn’t have to be an exact replica of the original. It’s fun to keep the general vibe of the design, but to still be comfortable with putting your own spin on it.
