Zoya Beatrix Swatches & Review

Zoya Beatrix Swatches & ReviewZoya Beatrix is from the PixieDust Summer Collection that features the amazing textured finish that I can’t seem to get enough of.

Combine the cool gritty texture with a fun, summery shade that reminds me of an orange popsicle, and you’ve clearly got a warm-weather winner here!

I’m a big fan of Zoya nail polish because they always put out a wide range of shades. It never seems like they’re afraid to experiment with colour. As a result, they come out with collections where there’s truly something for everyone.

OPI Muir Muir on the Wall Swatches & Review

OPI Muir Muir on the Wall Swatches & ReviewOPI Muir Muir on the Wall is a vampy, shimmery plum nail polish from the San Francisco Collection (Fall/Winter) that officially launches on August 7.

This is one of the must-haves in the collection because it’s really sexy and edgy.

It’s perfect for the cooler months or when you want to add some drama to your tips!

Sooooo, guess what? It looks like I’ll be achieving my goal of reviewing all the nail polishes in the OPI San Francisco Collection before the release! I just have one more to go, and then I will have showed you all 15 shades!

China Glaze Isle See You Later Swatches & Review

China Glaze Isle See You Later Swatches & ReviewSo, China Glaze Isle See You Later was the Problem Child of the Sunsational Collection.

I wanted to love it like a sailor coming back to see his family after being away for years. But, the only tears shed were sad ones, unfortunately.

Out of all the nail polishes in the collection (as of today, I’ve finished reviewing all of them!), this was by far the sheerest one. In my swatches, I used 4 medium coats, and I could easily see visible nail line!

But, if you want to see the silver lining to this cloud, it’s super shiny, and you can use it for glitter-sandwich manicures. The sheerness would allow the glitter to peek through just the right amount. Or, you could layer it over a similar blue to increase opacity.

Now, I’m usually comfortable wearing manicures that still have some Visible Nail Line. But even for me, China Glaze Isle See You Later showed too much. Does that make me a polish prude? Hehe! 😉

China Glaze Are You Jelly? Swatches & Review

China Glaze Are You Jelly Swatches & ReviewTo my readers south of the border, I’d like to with you a very HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY! I hope that you’re enjoying the day with your family and friends.

Today, I have another China Glaze Sunsational Collection shade from the Jellies half – it’s China Glaze Are You Jelly?.

I feel like I don’t wear vivid purples as much as I used to when I first started collection nail polish back in 2008.

I love the pop it provides against my skin tone, and while it’s definitely not a neon, it’s a gorgeous medium purple that makes me think of summer. So, well done, China Glaze! 🙂

OPI In the Cable Car-Pool Lane Swatches & Review

OPI In the Cable Car-Pool Lane Swatches & ReviewIf the Evil Queen in Snow White had OPI In the Cable Car-Pool Lane from the San Francisco Collection (out on August 7), maybe she wouldn’t be saying, “Mirror, Mirror on the wall!” She’d be staring at her reflection on her nails! 😉

Yup, OPI In the Cable Car-Pool Lane is a very shiny nail polish, even without a top coat!

Although it’s summer, and most of you are digging the bright shades for the season, here I am showing you a colour from a fall/winter collection. I’m really excited about the San Francisco Collection, and judging from the feedback I’ve received from readers, it sounds like you all are, too! (We’re getting closer to the launch! Weeeee!)

OPI I Knead Sour-Dough Swatches & Review

OPI I Knead Sour-Dough Swatches & ReviewWell, it looks like I’m on the homestretch when it comes to reviewing the nail polishes in the OPI San Francisco Collection! After this post on OPI I Knead Sour-Dough, I have just have 3 more to go.

Actually, I’ve already worn them all, but it’s now just a matter of cropping and uploading photos and preparing posts. 🙂 I’ll try to have them up ASAP. Really want to show you prior to the official August 7 release!

OPI I Knead Sour-Dough is like no other polish that I own. Okay, so I don’t have too many neutrals in my collection, but even so, I haven’t seen too many that look like this.

MAC RiRi Woo Lipstick Swatches, Review & Pictures

MAC RiRi Woo Lipstick Swatches, Review & PicturesFirst of all, I’d like to wish my fellow Canadians a very HAPPY CANADA DAY! I hope that you’re spending time with your family and/or friends. Enjoy the long weekend!

Can’t say that I’m a Rihanna fan (even though I find a couple of her songs catchy), but when MAC RiRi Woo Lipstick was first released, I knew that I had to get it.

I’m experimenting more with lip colour, and red is a shade that really makes my complexion look awake and healthy.

You’ll remember that MAC Ronnie Red Lipstick reached Holy Grail status for me. Ever since then, I’ve been trying to find more reds to add to my collection.

MAC RiRi Woo Lipstick from the RiRi Hearts MAC Collection is a winner! I’ve seen it on people of all different races, and it looks so flattering!

This is a beautiful, bright red lipstick that I love wearing so much! When it was released again recently along with shades Heaux and RiRi Boy, I decided to get a back-up because it’s so easy to burn through red lipstick.

Funny how I used to be a sheer-lipgloss lover. Now I’m obsessed with matte statement lipsticks!
