a-england Fated Prince Swatches & Review

a-england Fated Prince Swatches & ReviewIf you check out nail blogs, you’ll no doubt see that the a-england Burne-Jones Dream Collection has been receiving a lot of love from nailphiles.

I can see why people are digging it! 🙂 The formulas are so pigmented and smooth.

Recently, I wore a-england Fated Prince, which NailPolishCanada was generous to provide.

It was no exception to the rule – a-england nail polishes are a-mazing! 😉 Hehe, sorry, but I couldn’t resist making that pun.

P.S. You have until August 16, 2013 to enter to win the entire a-england Burne-Jones Dream Collection in my worldwide giveaway!

P.P.S. Stay tuned later this evening because I have a second post scheduled! It’s for a press release of an upcoming collection. (Lately I’ve been getting lots of press releases, so this week, you’ll be seeing an unusually large number of them.)

China Glaze On the Horizon Collection Press Release & Promo Pictures

China Glaze On the Horizon Collection Press Release & Promo PicturesIf you’ve checked out your local beauty-supply stores, you may have already seen the China Glaze On the Horizon Collection on the shelves.

On the Horizon features a feathered finish that is achieved by a dense formulation of short, multicoloured bar glitter.

Although I’ve seen other brands come out with their version of the feathered finish, I’ve never tried any, so I may need to buy at least one to see how I like it.

The ones that catch my attention the most are You’re a Hoot (Hehe, I’m an owl fan, so this is a must-have!), Party Fowl (blue, orange, and black sounds like a dramatic combination), and Flock Together (the green, blue, and black combination sounds fun to wear).

OPI DS Raw Granite: OPI DS Lapis & OPI DS Pewter Press Release & Promo Pictures

OPI DS Lapis & OPI DS PewterIf you like blues and greys, keep your rabbit ears up because OPI has something new up their sleeves for the Designer Series line!

In September, OPI DS Raw Granite hits the stores with 2 textured nail polishes: OPI DS Lapis (sapphire) and OPI DS Pewter (silver).

I’m so happy that the textured nail trend is still going strong! (Huge fan here!) 🙂

Both look like colours that are very wearable. Hehe, then again, I would try any colour on my nails!

Between OPI DS Lapis and OPI DS Pewter, I’m most looking forward to OPI DS Lapis because I think it could look like a starry night sky – beautiful!

OPI San Francisco Collection Swatches & Review

OPI San Francisco Collection Swatches & ReviewSince I thought it would be helpful to my readers and also because some readers requested this, I’m sharing swatches of the entire OPI San Francisco Collection in a single post.

Throughout the past few months, I’ve brought you individual in-depth reviews and swatches of all 15 shades, so feel free to click on any of the links in this post for those.

I rarely have an entire collection to share, but since I did this time and since I thought it would be neat to see them all at a glance, I whipped it up like a soufflé. 😉

Which are your top 3 picks from this collection?

P.S. There’s still time to enter my OPI San Francisco Collection giveaway for Canadians. You have until August 9 to enter!

Note: All the nail polishes shown in this post were given to me by OPI’s PR when I attended the exclusive OPI San Francisco Collection launch party back in March 2013.

Nicole by OPI Cinna-Man of My Dreams Swatches & Review

Nicole by OPI Cinna-Man of My Dreams Swatches & ReviewThe Nicole by OPI Gumdrops Collection is really impressing me! All the shades I’ve tried so far were very flattering.

Today, I have a review on another shade from the collection – Nicole by OPI Cinna-Man of My Dreams!

This is a really interesting shade that I think people will love more in the fall. It reminds me of warm spices, so that’s why I would describe this nail polish as cozy!

It’s definitely not a colour that I typically wear, but I do like it a lot! If you like shades that are fall-inspired, I think you’ll dig it, too!

Nicole by OPI Cinna-Man of My Dreams is actually pretty complex when you inspect it closer. I’ll go into further detail later on in this post.

Nicole by OPI That’s What I Mint Swatches & Review

Nicole by OPI That's What I Mint Swatches & ReviewI wore Nicole by OPI That’s What I Mint from the Gumdrops Collection quite a while ago. And let me tell you something – it is now on my list of Top 3 Favourite Textured Nail Polishes! (OPI Get Your Number still remains in first place.)

Nicole by OPI That’s What I Mint is a medium teal, which you don’t see too often in textured lacquers. I highly recommend this shade because I think it would be flattering on soooo many diverse skin tones!

It’s like The Little Mermaid was swept ashore, and she started sunbathing. I can picture the sun beating down and making the scales on her tail glimmer. It would be like That’s What I Mint.

Canadians, you’ll also be so happy to know that it’s a Shoppers Drug Mart exclusive shade! A lot of times, Canadians get the short end of the stick, but this time, we can celebrate having this gorgeous polish readily available! YAY!

Edit: According to my US readers, apparently this polish can be found exclusively at CVS! 🙂

Orly Glowstick Swatches & Review

Orly Glowstick Swatches & ReviewA neon-yellow manicure is the equivalent to a comic-book “POW” – it sure does pack a powerful punch! (It’s waaaay brighter than my photos would suggest! Highlighter yellow!)

Orly Glowstick isn’t new, but it’s new to me. (Glowstick is part of the Orly Feel the Vibe Collection from 2012.)

It’s hard for me to resist buying every single neon lacquer I see, let alone keep my tongue inside my mouth.

So, during my most recent visit to Sally Beauty Supply, I was a salivating, tongue-hanging-out weirdo! 😉

In this nailphile’s defense, I put it back on the rack. But then it flew into my arms and started crying. If there’s anything I’m powerless around, it’s a sobbing lacquer. So, naturally, it came home with me, and I introduced it to many friends in my red Helmer.
