Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Flirt Swatches & Review

High gloss, even finish, good consistency, rich color – that’s exactly what you get with Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Flirt. What more could you ask for?

Flirt is a purplish red mixed with warm brown tones. Even with one coat, the color looks rich enough and not sheer. I found the formula really easy to work with: it goes on evenly, and you don’t really need a top coat to add shine. But I applied one anyway just to protect the polish. It can stain your nails, so make sure to also wear a base coat. Continue reading

Frankening Nail Polish – We Did It! (Sort of)

Hola, fellow nail-polish lovers!

Mary and I got together and tried to create our own unique colors. Her goal was to create a green or purple with iridescent purple or green. Mine was a purple with red undertones.

This was the first time we’ve ever frankened polishes. And even though we didn’t achieve exactly what we wanted, we had fun doing it! Continue reading

La Roche-Posay Hydraphase UV Review

My skin is super dry. So if I use a face sunscreen, I have to put on an extra layer of moisturizer underneath. It’s not a comfy feeling! That’s why I opt for a lotion with SPF built in. I wear it every day of the year, not just in summer. The sun doesn’t hibernate in the winter!

I decided to give the La Roche-Posay Hydraphase UV a try because it’s formulated for dehydrated skin and dry skin lacking elasticity. Yup, got that. So should you make La Roche-Posay Hydraphase your go-to moisturizer with sunscreen? Continue reading

The Quo Angle Contour Brush is the first brush I ever bought. It took my brush virginity! But this is not something I’ll remember for the rest of my life. Quo does make quality brushes, but I don’t like this one at all.

And I’ll tell you right off the bat why: the bristles are scratchy. But that’s not the only reason why I say no to this Quo contour brush. What else? Continue reading

Eyeliner is my single most important makeup product. So of course when I heard that Almay has one that contrasts your eye color to make it pop, I had to try it. And what’s even better is the color that’s recommended for my brown eyes is Purple Amethyst! Can’t go wrong with purple.

If it’s based solely on the product, there are probably other eyeliners that I would choose. But this purple wins me over every time. It’s such a pretty purple that I am willing to overlook the one big flaw I find of the Almay intense i-color eyeliner. Continue reading

Rimmel 60 Seconds Green with Envy is an eye-catcher. Well, at least it caught my eye. Look at it – it’s a bright green color with a strong undertone of blue! If there’s a modern-day Medusa, I imagine this is the nail color she’d wear. Continue reading
