Zoya Saint Swatches & Review

Zoya Saint Swatches Review

There was always a halo shining brightly above the head of Zoya Saint from the Enchanted Collection! It was the one polish that was calling out to me like the orchestra from the La La Land production! (The movie was very sweet and enjoyable, but I think it had more potential. This is coming from someone who has watched and loved a lot of musicals, so take it with a grain of salt…and a dash of sugar.)

*Breaks out into song* “Here’s to the dreamers!” 😉 Who else saw that movie? Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling shone in that film, and I keep playing the songs “Planetarium”, “City of Stars”, and “Audition (The Fools Who Dream)” when I’m out and about. Those songs give me the feels, as they say! 🙂

During the holiday season, I wore it twice, and once while in an elevator, a stranger approached me and complimented me on my nail polish. I knew that Zoya Saint was amazing, but when a stranger points it out, it reinforces everything!

The Zoya Enchanted Collection is my favourite Zoya nail-polish collection in a long time. Can’t even pick my favourite polish from the bunch. But, I knew from the first moment I saw the colours, Zoya Saint would be the first one that I’d review in-depth for a separate post.

Key Notes

Zoya Saint Review

Colour

Saint by Zoya is one of those ethereal nail polishes that graces your manicure with a fairy touch. 😉 The periwinkle base has everything you love about a soft purple polish! From the minute I caught sight of this colour, I knew that I had to wear it as a full manicure.

What gives it a magical touch is that there’s a subtle pink-purple flash that catches the light every now and again. It’s enough to make you think this polish holds a secret!

Finish

The base of this polish is a creme, but it has a slight shimmer that awakens your manicure and projects that ‘something extra’. You will love how, as you move your nails, it comes alive!

Application & Formula

The formula was wonderful, as expected from Zoya. (This brand is one of the most consistent nail polishes I’ve experienced.)

To get the most out of Saint by Zoya, you’ll need to use at least two coats. You could use three to intensify the colour, but I found that even at two, it’s spectacular. You won’t need to use more than three to achieve full opacity.

It glides on effortlessly, and the pigmentation is wonderful. This is true to the majority of Zoya nail polishes that I have worn in the past.

Ingredients

For those who are making conscious shopping decisions, it will be quite the relief to know that Zoya nail polishes don’t contain the Big-3: Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, and DBP.

Pros

  • Beautiful periwinkle base & pink/purple flash
  • Pigmented
  • Easy to paint with
  • No Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, or DBP

Cons

  • If you don’t like purchasing nail polish online, this will be difficult to get your hands on.

Final Verdict: 10/10

Yep. I gave it a perfect score! 🙂 As a nail blogger, it’s a rare event when I wear the same nail polish more than once in the same month. I wore Zoya Saint twice during the holiday season, and I wanted to wear it more. The only thing preventing me from constantly wearing it was knowing that I needed to create more content for my blog and social media! 😉

If you haven’t already purchased Zoya Saint, I highly recommend this colour and the brand. Zoya is one of the most consistent nail polishes that I have come across. You won’t be disappointed!

Also, a huge thank you to everyone who participated in my worldwide Zoya Enchanted Collection giveaway! More fun nail-polish giveaways are coming, so stay tuned! 🙂 (You know how I never make it mandatory to follow me to enter my giveaways, and I really appreciate all of you who have stuck around, even though the giveaway is over. That’s awesome, and you have put a smile on my face!) 🙂

Are you like me and are in love with Zoya Saint, too? Which is your favourite colour in the Zoya Enchanted Collection? Do you already have a favourite nail polish for 2017 yet?

      Hey Melissa!

This colour is the kind that’s two-bottle-backup-worthy! It’s a polish that you can wear almost anytime. I can already see the level of nail polish in my bottle going down because I’ve worn it so much. That’s saying a lot because most of my polishes are still almost full, as I switch up my manicure colours often.

      Hey Sasha!

It’s pretty in pictures, but when you wear it, it’s even more beautiful! This polish gets noticed by strangers, too. But, most of all, it’s a fun shade to wear…and it’s a HAPPY colour! Really puts a spring in your manicure step. 😉

That color compliments your nails and skin tone so well, it looks so stunning!

I love it when strangers compliment my nail polish too, when other people notice your nails you know the color is something special! Or that you just ran into a fellow nail junkie :]

      Hey Ashley!

Periwinkle looks amazing on so many different skin tones. There’s just something about how lively it is and how it provides a pop of vibrant colour that I love! 🙂

Yes, even though I wear nail polish for myself, it is really cool when strangers notice the nail polish, too. 😉

Since I know how thrilling it is to be complimented on my nails, I also compliment others (in person) on THEIR nails, too. Spread the love, right? Also, it’s a way to find out who’s a fellow nail junkie, as you said. 🙂 When I ask, “What colour is that?” and I get the answer, “Purple” or “It’s from a 2015 collection from this Australian indie brand,” I can figure out quickly whether or not the person is as nuts as polish as I am! 😉

      Hey Cindi!

It is! While there’s something soft about it, Saint has a vibrancy that makes a manicure pop. Highly recommend it, and the way I’m wearing it so often, I may have to buy a back-up bottle, which is rare for me to do these days.
