OPI Infinite Shine Olive for Green has my name written all over it. Okay, not literally, but the second I first saw it in the Spring 2016 Collection, angels played harps and fluttered their wings. Pretty much the same thing, right? 😉

OPI Infinite Shine Olive for Green pulls out all the stops! Go, go, go!

It took all my willpower to not wear this one right away. Sometimes exercising self-restraint makes it that much more rewarding when you finally wear a colour you’re been lusting over!

I think Mother Nature was jealous, though, because when I decided to photograph my manicure, it was a cloudy, dark, rainy day. (You’d think that the sunshine would want to come out for this, wouldn’t you?)

OPI Infinite Shine Olive for Green Review

Colour

OPI Infinite Shine Olive for Green is an earthy green, one of my favourite kinds to wear. It’s so much my ‘Comfort Colour’ that I practically see it as a neutral!

If you’ve tried wearing other greens and didn’t quite like them, I still urge you to try this one because it’s more muted and less in-your-face. I can picture drooling over this on pretty much any skin tone from the fairest to the richest.

While there are so many bright grassy greens, I find that mainstream polishes don’t release too many of these types of olive greens. This one’s not 100% unique, however, it’s not as easy to dupe as a red nail polish.

Finish

Creamy and smooth, the finish is shiny, even before you apply a glossy top coat. This finish means that it’s easy peasy to remove!

Application & Formula

OPI Infinite Shine Olive for Green goes on smoothly. The first coat covers most of your nail, but you’ll definitely need a second coat to obtain full coverage.

Ingredients

This OPI nail polish doesn’t contain any Formaldehyde, Toluene, or DBP, which will put your mind at ease, if you’re making conscious shopping decisions to avoid the “Big 3.”

OPI Infinite Shine System

Although the OPI Infinite Shine Primer Base Coat and OPI Infinite Shine Gloss Top Coat are specially designed to be used with the OPI Infinite Shine nail polishes, don’t feel obligated to use them together.

I’ve tried different base coats and different top coats, and I find that they work just as well, so you won’t necessarily need to invest in the whole Infinite Shine system if you want to try a colour or two.

Value

OPI Infinite Shine nail polishes are slightly more expensive than regular OPIs, even though both contain 15 mL of product. I think it’s because the Infinite Shines are formulated to be extra shiny. That being said, I know of many regular OPI nail polishes that are very shiny, too.

I was lusting after OPI Infinite Shine Olive for Green from the minute I saw it, and when I finally wore it, it didn’t disappoint this green nail-polish junkie! Highly recommend you try it, if you’re into greens or want to try one of the better ones.
