Today, I have a quick look at theย OPI Venice Collection, which arrived in my mailbox just yesterday! (It’s very picture-heavy!)
If you follow me on social media, you saw that last night, I attended a fun eventย previewing Fall/Winter 2015 and current products by KISS and Broadway Nails (imPRESS)ย held at the Trump Hotel in downtown Toronto, and I got to meet Marni Burton, a makeup artist who’s worked on celebrities such as Milla Jovovich, Shania Twain, and Brooke Shields!
When I got home and checked my mail, the OPI Venice Collection was waiting for me. It included even more than just nail polish this time!
After picking up my jaw (hehe…because it had fallen on the ground in a puddle of my own drool), I grabbed my camera and got straight to work, snapping photos of everything.
Not only did OPI’s PR send me the full 15-shade collection (that includes the 3 limited-edition colours), but they sent it in a beautiful, collectible box, along with cute recipe cards (for real dishes you can make), some edible treats, and a masquerade mask! (Heck, even the cardboard box everything was shipped in was customized by OPI. What a great touch! I love it when companies pay such close attention to all the little details.)
In this post, I show you everything, plus, of course, quick swatches of all the colours.
Keep your eyes peeled like a banana later because after I wear some as full manicures, I’ll be reviewing the colours separately and in-depth with more swatches of each.
There are 15 shades in theย OPI Venice Collection. Twelve are permanent, and three are limited-edition:
- A Great Opera-tunity
- It’s a Piazza Cake
- Worth a Pretty Penne
- Tiramisu for Two
- Amore at the Grand Canal
- Gimme a Lido Kiss
- Be There in a Prosecco
- I Cannoli Wear OPI
- Gelato on My Mind
- Purple Palazzo Pants
- O Suzi Mio
- My Gondola or Yours?
- Venice the Party? (Limited-edition)
- Baroque…But Still Shopping! (Limited-edition)
- St. Mark’s the Spot (Limited-edition)

OPI Venice Collection Pictures
Inside a larger cardboard box was this customized one.
I love how dramatic yet simple the black-and-white design is – clean, but very eye-catching at the same time.
Here’s a closer look at the corner. (They clearly put a lot of thought into the design.)
When I opened up the box, this is the first thing that I saw.
On the inside of the lid was a nice message. ๐
Then, inside the box, there were black crinkle-cut paper strips that added to the whole presentation.
Inside the box…was another box! ๐
I love these kind of collectible OPI boxes because they keep the polishes safe, and you can store the collection together.
There’s an elastic loop pulled over a little knob to keep the cover closed.
But of course we’re not gonna keep the lid closed! (Are you nuts?) ๐
Hello, polishes!ย Welcome to the Swatch And Learn family!ย (Yes, those were actually my first thoughts when I opened up the box and saw this. My brain reverts to childhood when I get really happy.)

Venice the Party? (Limited-edition)
Baroque…But Still Shopping! (Limited-edition)
St. Mark’s the Spot (Limited-edition)
The front of the card included looked like this.
Here’s the back of the same card:
Another card included:
The other side of the same card features nail art created using all OPI Venice Collection polishes:
This really made me smile. Below is one side of a business card.
I loved how this featured I’m Not Really a Waitress, one of OPI’s most iconic shades. (Interestingly enough, I don’t have that colour in my huge collection of nail polishes. I’ll have to buy it soon!)
OPI made recipe cards, which I think is a fun, novel idea!
They were tied together with an OPI elastic through the little holes on the top left of each card.
On one side of each recipe card was a photo of the dish plus beautiful nails to complement it.
Here’s a closer look at each of the cards, front and back:
Hehe, I like the lines on each card that say “Best enjoyed while wearing OPI”! ๐
At first, I thought there wasn’t anything else in the OPI box. But as I was putting things back, I noticed that PR had included other fun surprises for me! (The black crinkle-cut paper was hiding more stuff.)
They included this fancy masquerade mask:
Also, they included a container full of Dean & Deluca Tiramisu Caramels!
I’ve never tried anything from Dean & Deluca, but I can’t wait to try these! (Also, I’ve been recently watching a few reruns of the old TV show, Felicity. These tiramisu caramels reminded me of Felicity because she worked at Dean & Deluca!) ๐
Like two peas in a pod, also included were two Ferrero Rocher chocolates! (I’m going to give these to my mom when I see her on the weekend because I know she loves these.)
OPI Venice Collection Swatches
The following are the 3 additional shades in the collection, which are limited-edition:
Disclosure: All the products shown in this blog post was provided by OPI’s PR.
Which are your favourite shades from the OPI Venice Collection? What colour(s) would you like to see reviewed in-depth first? From the recipe cards shown, which dish would you be most inclined to try?
Okay, maybe silly, but what was on the back of the gelato card? ๐ I love the recipe cards!! Wish I could get my hands on some of these OPI PR gifts, they seem so fun!!
Hey Desiree!
Not silly at all! Thank you so much for bringing it to my attention. I didn’t realized that I forgot to put the picture of the back of that one. I’ve posted it now. ๐
Yeah, OPI is so creative. They know the way to my heart – through my stomach and nails! ๐
Ooh, awesome… I even have an ice cream maker….. thanks for putting it up!! ๐
Ohhh, if you try the recipe, please let me know how it works out for you. I may try a few! All the recipe cards had gorgeous photos of the yummy final dish. If I make anything, I may eat it faster than I can snap a photo of it! ๐
What an awesome collection! And such a beautiful presentation too! Thanks for sharing your goodies with us, Can’t wait to see your review of this collection.
Hey Melissa!
I’ll probably try out one of the softer shades instead of going to my comfort zone of bolder shades. We’ll see! ๐
What a great collection! The packaging and goodies are the icing on the cake. Can’t wait to see your review of these colors. Thanks as always for sharing! ๐
Hey Melissa!
Yes, they really went above and beyond with this package! ๐ I loved all the fun extras they included!
I love how detailed this post was–I got to live vicariously through your nail mail! ๐ Can’t wait to see your reviews. This is such a pretty collection.
Hey Jessica!
So happy that we can both drool over these together! Sharing the excitement is one of the best things about polish.
Such a fantastic PR package! You bloggers work so hard, it’s nice that OPI goes beyond just sending the polishes.
Really looking forward to your review of BaroqueโฆBut Still Shopping. I had such high hopes for that one but it looks questionable on other sites. Like a Pineapple Have Peelings Too part 2. I actually bought PHPT just because it was so amazingly fugly. That only works once OPI! A girl can only have so many ironic nail polishes!
Hey Stephanie!
Aww, thank you for acknowledging how bloggers put in a lot of effort! It’s definitely true, and although I can’t speak for all bloggers, but I can say that there are plenty of us who blog because we’re not only passionate about polish, but also about sharing the experience with readers.
The finish of Baroque…But Still Shopping is a little intimidating to me because of the texture. But I need to try it on my fingernails to find out. Stay tuned! *Fingers and eyes crossed*
How awesome is this PR. It’s so nice that O.P.I. went out and beyond for this one! I love the recipe cards! I wish I could have hard copies of them they look like so much fun! I want to try them all lol.

Hey Sasha!
I am so grateful to have received not only this package from PR, but others as well. It’s amazing how PR can make a blogger feel like it’s Christmas morning! ๐ There are so many beautiful things they included and even some surprises. It was funny how I was about to tidy up after photographing some things in the box, and then I noticed that there was more. A magic box! ๐
Now this is one beautiful box of nail mail. The collection is absolutely amazing. They love you. lol wow I dig the recipes also. They did it this time.
Hey Robbie!
Yeah, tell me about it! My heart was racing like crazy when I saw all the goodies and the extras that showed a lot of thought and care went into the package.
The unexpected items like the mask and edible treats were so lovely, and the recipe cards are so clever!
I know I’m late with my comment, but here it is anyway:
Thanks so much for sharing, it is fun to see what OPI sends out.
When a new collection is out I always wait for your reviews before I commit to buying, so thank you for that too. ๐
Have a nice day
Hey Rachel!
No worries! I like reading comments from readers, even if it’s for an older post. It’s cool to hear what you think and to share our passion for polish!
That’s so encouraging to hear that you think so highly of my blog content! The fact that you find my reviews helpful (whether it’s to buy or not to buy a colour) means the world to me!
Hope your week is going well, too!
