The colors you wear not only affect how you look, but they can really transform how you feel, too. Take purple for example – it makes me feel strong, feminine and regal! That’s why when I saw Revlon No Shrinking Violet, I just had to have it in my nail-polish collection.
In the bottle, it looks like it has a soft pearlescent finish to it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite translate on the nail. But I still like the Revlon No Shrinking Violet Nail Enamel for days when I need a color pick-me-up.

Revlon No Shrinking Violet Nail Color Review
I’m generally more attracted to saturated colors. I guess that’s why I like No Shrinking Violet! It’s a deep purple that doesn’t scream vampy. You get a dark shade, but not to the point where it just looks black no matter the light. It is quite opaque with just 1 coat, but I put two for good measure.
I would describe the Revlon No Shrinking Violet Nail Color to be like the shade you see on kids’ grape-juice boxes. It’s a pretty purple, but it’s quite one dimensional. There is a soft sheen to it and a bit of shimmer, but nothing really that makes you want to keep staring at your nails.
The formula itself goes on smoothly and isn’t tacky. But I do have one complaint about it: it seems to take longer to set compared to other nail polishes. Just need to be a little bit more patient before applying a 2nd coat or top coat and doing things with your hands.
But once dried, Revlon No Shrinking Violet does have decent staying power. It wears for about 4 days before I see any major chipping.

Final Verdict: 7.5/10
I like that the Revlon No Shrinking Violet Nail Enamel is easily available in stores, and you’re not forced to only buy it online. It’s a good color to have in your collection, but I don’t think it’s a must-have. It’s just a little on the plain side.
So what do you think of this shade?
Ohhh, I think that’s really pretty! 🙂

Hi Dee,
I think it’s a pretty color, too! It’s a trusty purple shade that I go back to time and time again. 🙂
