In another review, I said that some e.l.f. brushes are kind of hard to judge because they’re good quality…”for the price.” But the e.l.f. Essentials Blending Eye Brush is different! This tool is great quality…despite the price.

The formerly named e.l.f. Essentials Blending Eye Brush is part of my everyday makeup arsenal. Find out why I‘m so glad that I got this little gem.

e.l.f. Professional Blending Eye Brush Review

While I love this elf Professional Blending Eye Brush, I admit that not everyone needs it. If you don’t usually wear multiple eye shades, then you can skip it. But if you do or want to, read on.

The bristles of this brush are super soft. This is especially important since we’re talking about the sensitive eye area here! The elf Essentials Blending Eye Brush doesn’t poke, jab or prick the skin area at all.

I love using this brush for blending out harsh contour lines on the outer and inner corners of my eye. The size and shape fit in there perfectly, and the bristle density allows me to easily disperse makeup lines. I also use it to blend together colors if I’m using more than one shadow on the lid.

It’s versatile, too. You can use this elf blending brush clean and only for the purpose of blending out lines. Or you can dab it in a bit of shadow to precisely place color where you want then blend out.

I think the elf Essential Blending Eye Brush has a good length, but some might find it slightly too long. It’s just under 6.5”, and you might have to stand farther back from the mirror than you’d like for those precise applications.

Also, I have experienced some shedding as expected. It’s not a lot, only slight shedding.

    Pros
  • Soft bristles
  • Good size & shape
  • Can be used to soften lines
  • Can be used to blend colors
  • Affordable
    Cons
  • Handle might be a bit too long for some
  • Very slight shedding

Final Verdict: 9/10

There are a few e.l.f. brushes that I wouldn’t pay the $1 for again. But not the case with the elf Essential blending brush! I might go back and get multiples of it. It’s one of my favorite eye brushes!

Think you’ll give this brush a try? If you do, let me know what you think!
