OPI Tiffany Case is the glam bright blue Liquid Sand nail polish from the OPI Bond Girls Collection due out in May.
If you weren’t interested in the dark and brooding OPI Vesper that I showed yesterday, you may have a soft spot for Tiffany Case.
While I can appreciate both, so far, of the two, I prefer OPI Tiffany Case because it’s reminding me that spring weather will soon be upon us. (Mother Nature, pay attention to the calendar! It’s already supposed to be spring!)
I’m in love with this blue Liquid Sand! It’s eye-catching without being too flashy. There’s just enough glitz to make it feel like a special manicure.

OPI Tiffany Case Review
Colour
Aside from the usual green and purple suspects, blues follow closely behind in my order of favourite nail-polish colours to wear.
I find that blues tend to look smashing on so many different skin tones, and the right shade of blue (like this vibrant sky blue) can really brighten up your mood (in additional to your fingertips)!
Tiffany Case by OPI has a base that looks like a metallic sky blue. It almost has an icy vibe to it…like what I imagine the Snow Queen would wear to Stars on Ice. But, since I don’t like to think of winter, I’ll just say that it reminds me of a mermaid’s tail as it glistens in the sun. 😉
Finish
Tiffany Case by OPI has the cool Liquid Sand texture that I’m a big fan of. It feels like and looks like a rock. The finish isn’t gritty, but there’s noticeable texture.
One thing I absolutely adore about the Liquid Sands is that the dry time is so fast. Of course it depends on what base coat you use underneath and how thickly you apply it, but for me, even though I use medium coats, it dries in a snap!
What I also love about it is that it sparkles like crazy in pretty much any lighting condition. There’s something very glam about it – diva worthy! (There are two different sizes of glitter in this. The fine glitter is blue, and the larger pieces are silver.)
If you don’t like the matte texture, you can put a shiny top coat over it to transform it into a glittery polish.
The lighting conditions were pretty bad and dim, so I didn’t get a chance to photograph a swatch of it on a nail wheel with a shiny top coat. I’ll probably update this post later to include one.
Edit: OPI Tiffany Case with a Shiny Top Coat
Below you can see it when worn shiny. It’s pretty, but I’m such a fan of the Liquid Sand finish that I prefer to wear it that way.
Application & Formula
Application of Tiffany Case was superb! I had no problems with it – it flowed onto the nail easily, and I found it simple to control.
One coat provided wonderful coverage, but a second coat was pure perfection. You definitely won’t need a third coat.

Final Verdict: 9/10
I really loved wearing OPI Tiffany Case! It’s one of those shades that emphasizes your nails and gives them that needed pop of spring colour! This type of blue makes me happy, and I love how much it sparkles in the sun, in artificial light, under bright lights, and pretty much any lighting condition!
If you could create any Liquid Sand nail polish, what colours would be in it? Did you like the Liquid Sands from the first time they were introduced? Or did they gradually grow on you?
Oo, I quite like this one (didn’t initially think I would)! As you said, it looks like it belongs in a winter collection, no?

Hey Sonya!
After wearing it for a couple of days, I can lean either way. It looks really summery, but when I took photos of it in dim and flash lighting, it looked wintry. I think it’s a blue that lends itself to both seasons very easily. 🙂
Tiffany looks great! (I’m not even going to say I want this one too… my bank account hides under my desk, completely terrified, the moment I open a browser these days 😉 )
I wonder just how similar (or different) this one is from the blue Liquid Sand in the Mariah Carey collection (Get Your Number).
Hey Joyce!
Haha, this is what you’re saying to your bank account: “Come out, come out, wherever you are!” 😉 Aww, poor thing – it’s shivering…hahahaha!
I’ll be doing a little comparison post on Get Your Number and Tiffany Case. Another reader had asked me about it earlier, and now that you’ve also asked, I definitely have to do it. 🙂
I was just going to ask the exact same thing! I think this new one may be a little lighter but they look similar to me!
They’re definitely different from what I can see. I’ll be putting together a post. Looks like a lot of readers are interested in this comparison! 🙂
That looks so beautiful! I can’t wait, I am interested in all the Bond Girls except Vesper. And to answer your question, I’d be totally blown away if they came out with a dark green Liquid Sand! It would be amazing- sparkly like emeralds on my fingers!!!
Hey Gretchen B!
YES, if they came out with a green Liquid Sand, it would make my MONTH, let alone day! 🙂 Glad we’re thinking along the same page.
Really beautiful! I like that you described it as mermaid-esqe because I can totally see that now. Great swatches.

Hey Erin Ortiz!
Glad you enjoyed the photos. I’ve been wearing this manicure for a couple of days – love it! I’ll probably remove it tonight, though, just because I want to try out another colour. 🙂
Wow! This looked so cool. I like dark polishes so I thought that I would like Vesper more than I did. Vesper is more like a pile o dirt, gritty meanwhile this feels like a diamond in the ruff. But I like them both though, but for different reasons.
And as always, awesome photos of the polish!

Hey Gelic’ nail art!
Yeah, I know how you feel about Vesper. You really have to be in the mood for that one because it’s so dark.
could u do a comparision of this one and get your number ? 🙂

Hey Greta!
Yes, I sure can! 🙂 I’ll be preparing some photos tonight, actually! *Fingers crossed*
If I had to create a liquid sand, it would probably be very similar to this color. I just LOVE this shade of blue and I cannot wait to get this color the second it becomes available. I need this polish in my life. I also would like a really pretty orange for a liquid sand, not like a dark dusty orange but a bright almost neon orange that sparkles. I’m so glad you loved this one, I was hoping there wasn’t anything bad about it and it doesn’t appear like there is. Yay! 🙂

Hey Brianna!
You’ll love this polish. I’ve been wearing it for a couple of days, and I don’t want to take it off…but there are other colours I’m itching to try, so I’ll have to say goodbye to it…until we meet again! 😉
Wow this shade is just gorgeous! You really captured the way the light catches the glitter in the polish and makes it sparkle! My blue collection is quite small so I think I will need to check into this one when it is available! 🙂

Hey Angie!
It was a little tricky to capture this colour because when I was home and was free to take photos, the natural lighting was pretty dim. I wish that sun would’ve come out, but I’m glad that you were still able to see and enjoy this shade okay in the photos. 🙂
That blue makes me think of water. I can see a cute beach themed mani with this. Or a mermaid mani.
Hey Cindi!
Yes, I can see how it makes you think of the water. Cool idea to do a beach-themed design. And because this sparkles so much, it would make the ‘water’ come alive, like it’s shimmering under the hot sun. 🙂
Oh! Oh noes! Now there are two I have to have. I think Tiffany Case is my new favorite. I haven’t even seen any of the Bond movies, but the Bond Girls is quickly turning into one of my favorite collections.

Hey Lizzy!
Glad you’re loving this one. I think you’ll really enjoy it. I keep looking down at my nails while wearing this, and I don’t want to remove it tonight, but I will only because there are some other shades calling out my name. 😉
I am 100% sure that I will be buying this! This color is gorgeous!!!
Hey Michaela!
Awesome! Hope you love it as much as I do!
I still just don’t know about these Liquid Sands!! They are very pretty no doubt, I own 2 of the MC liquid sands. But unlike with regular polish (which I buy multiple of dupe-ish shades- blue included) I feel with the liquid sands it’s a seen one seen them all seneriao for me. I remember when crackle came out BIG and I was calling stores looking or black shatter…and got 2 back-ups (so that means 3 bottles total!… I can’t GIVE it away) *sigh* plus I got some in every other colour too!! I just don’t want to wind up with a whole helmer drwer full of trendy polish… thats not trendy any more. So thats why I’m still unsure, do I like it cus I(Me, My-self) love it, or because everyone is raving about it at the moment.
Wow a big comment from me! Thanks for reading Mary! lol

Hey Karen!
I know what you mean about the Crackles. I really got burned out on them quickly, and I bought back-ups. But, I think I’ll love the Liquid Sands even when they’re no longer trendy. The formulas are amazing, and I love the glittery ones. 🙂
Though I can totally see the mermaid tail flashing in the water thing, this color looks so icy because of the finish! Like little ice crystals on your fingers!
Hey Tam!
Yes, like ice crystals! 🙂 Good way to describe it!
Thank you for this in-depth review. Just got Tiffany Case as a gift, and am comparing to Get Your Number. Your blog helped me understand the difference. I think I need both!
Hey Louise!
It’s my pleasure, as always! 🙂
For sure, they’re both very different polishes. And good call on getting OPI Get Your Number! That’s such a pretty polish!
Lovely Colour!!! Looks amazing on you 🙂
Hey Chaitali!
Thank you very much! 🙂
